About three years ago I started getting a little ingrown toenail on my right big toe. It only bothered me once in awhile, but I figured I'd better get it taken care of while on vacation back in the States. BIG MISTAKE.

The Doctor numbed the toe up with novocaine (or one of it's cousins) first - he must have jabbed me five or six times and the needles hurt like the dickens. Once in a blue moon I still get jabs of pain from where those needles went in.

My advice - don't have a Doctor cut it out unless the condition is debilitating. In my case, at least, the cure was worse than the disease.
