I'm happy to manually update when I can while I'm awake, which is probably going to be until 1am and after 6am GMT-4 for the next week. I don't want to mess up the spreadsheet, though, so let me know if there are any special instructions.

No need (or permission - everybody has viewer status) to update the spreadsheet. Also, I noticed late last night that wikipedia has a stub for the medal table (one entry: Japan with zero medals). The spreadsheet and the pinkmeeple website are both using that currently. If a better site is identified (e.g. official Olympics site) that can easily be imported to the spreadsheet, I'll switch to that. Otherwise, I think we're good to go, and just in need of some extra eyes to verify that the data is correct.

As far as posting standings to this thread, that's just a matter of copying the blue table (columns Z-AC) and pasting them here. Anyone can do that. I'll try to do it by noon PDT which should be valid through the previous day. If anyone else also wants to post (for instance, at other times), that's fine by me.

I've made my own All-Asian team and a spreadsheet to follow along unofficially.

What site is being used to get the medal counts, olympics.com?

Currently, I'm using wikipedia. I'll probably switch to the official site. Will take a little work because they are using different names (e.g. People's Republic of China).

If nobody else objects, I'm OK with adding you to this. Go ahead and post your teams. I can always add an asterisk if deemed necessary.

Last night, it seemed that my web page was updating more frequently than the spreadsheet. I have control over the web site. I don't know how to (or even if I can) control the update frequency of the sheet.
