yeah, it was a typo for The House Committee on Un-American Activities (HCUA)...

Where in the world did you get that idea. No. It is a miistype for hcua ,
House committee on unamerican affairs, alsoacronymmed as huac, the rabidly right wing anti red bastion of the paranoid in the 1950s.
