That is a pot sitting on top of a metal table. I had other plans for it, but never got around to putting it in the proper location.
Leave it to you to notice that.

Ah, now I can see it. I first thought it is some sort of home made fountain.
Well, at least it could be a bird bath.

What are the flowers in the planting somewhat behind the bird house?
I like your garden, very explorable... strong sense of place and play of light. My own is presently hilarious, so I speak with some envy.

A common plant and something which would cause Greenwitch to scoff.

That is not my garden, Dag, but merely a portion of a section of my yard. My garden is a virtual explosion of color, frequented by butterflies, small rabbits, and a plethora of bees.
But nothing to compare to the Lord's garden. Not even close.

Echinacea, yes. Dys and Diane are growing those now. I've missed growing them somehow, and didn't realize they get so nicely tall.

Speaking of tall, osso, did you happen to notice the Joe Pye in the back of the small garden on the top left of the photo?
Those bad boys are eight feet tall and I only planted them a few years back.
Joe Pye... I bet Ellpus doesn't have those....

I guess they are quite hard to see, but if you look closely you will see one flower cluster floating over the top of the fence.

I thought Joe Pye was going to be Joe Pye Weed, and yep. I've heard of it but never met it, being from Out Here. 12 feet, huh...

Well, if they're what I think I'm looking at, or if what I'm looking at is them, they're a real pull to the eye..

Maybe Jane will come along and draw red arrows. Otherewise, like I said, they are quite difficult to see. Setting sun and all that.

Ah Belgian beer is good.
I rarely drink beer, but tonight I have had one Pacifica - it's so darn hot
here.
