I'm so glad I live in So CA now. You guys can have your White Christmases. I'm not crashing into cars, my car starts up every morning, I'm not falling on the ice. Ah! Paradise!
Of course, I can get up in the morning, shovel my driveway, get my car started, drive 10mph across icy roads, spin some cookies in an empty parking lot, have a snowball fight with coworkers, and then finally go to work.
Meanwhile, you are still sitting in traffic

Well when ElStud and I moved off the mountain it was partly to be closer to shopping and neighbors and work, not have to navigate the dark canyon in hazardous conditions at times, and partly to not have to break ice dams off the roof or shovel two to three feet of snow off a 60-foot driveway several times each winter.
But I do miss those winter days and nights when we could stay in in front of a roaring fire scented with pinon wood and watch the snow pile up silently on the decks and trees and create a truly wonderful winter wonderland.
Would I move back up there?
