@Walter Hinteler,
The main reason is the money advantage that the Republican Party enjoys. Any time serious consideration of public campaign financing is raised, the Republicans disingenuously label it "welfare for politicians" and continue to rake in dark money from billionaires. The US electorate would seemingly prefer this over the idea that tax dollars might support more modest campaigns. The Democrats have big donors as well – the party embraced neo-liberal economics as a way to attract wealthy donors and counter the big money advantage of the Republicans. The Supreme Court also declared that financial contributions were a form of "free speech", making it difficult to limit spending.

That doesn't make any sense at all. Obviously, it was you who found it in your version of the news.

News for me is a preponderance of several sources that have attracted the respect of many leftists. I notice all of your news sources are in compliance with the state narrative—meaning you know nothing about what it actually happening. The recent quote I saw randomly and brought about Kamala’s trouble with the big D donors is represented in news articles, blogs, video, and tweet. If you were even partially well versed with actual news, you’d have already seen it elsewhere, instead of imagining it some right wing conspiracy & marching off on some bizarre quest for that tweet. It’s everywhere.

And the content (derogation of Harris with no evidentiary support whatsoever) is precisely the same content you push here constantly. I've never seen that poster before. I don't follow he/she/it. But you do. Or you follow others associated with the account which is clearly pro-Trump and anti-Dem. No surprise there given the many, many posts you toss in to this site from the New York Post or Tucker Carlson etc etc.

Yeah. Your goddamn right I’m going to reference a mix of lefties and some more conservatives when I feel what they say is relevant. You act like some constipated Kommandant, spitting and sputtering because you can’t control every word written on this message board.

Democrats and their squad have been so incredibly propagandized over the past two decades that none of you can bear one voice in your environment that deviates from your narrative. It shows up in the mass exodus to Bluesky (but Ds are also mass reporting each other for falling outside even outside their prescribed parameters) It’s amazing to me that you are still following the divisive, antidemocratic strategies to demonize half the country by calling them ‘Putin puppets’ and ‘antisemites’—like Netanyahu, you’ve made both terms a joke. MSNBC suggests family cut off their family that voted ‘the wrong way’—(yet who started WWIII?) So, per Democrats and Zionists, the UN is antisemitic, journalists are antisemitic, doctors, nurses, hospitals are antisemitic, the ICC is antisemitic, Jeremy Corbyn is antisemitic, Jill Stein a Jew is antisemitic, Jewish Voice for Peace is antisemitic, South Africa is antisemitic, Amsterdam is antisemitic, Spain is antisemitic,…. IT’S A GLOBAL JOKE!

The t-shirt aptly reads, “If you haven’t been called an antisemite, you aren’t doing enough for Palestine.”

The WorkersStrikeBack is attempting to consolidate several left-leaning and so inclined right-leaning groups and parties into one massive Worker’s party to fill the space left by the Dick Cheney Democrat Party in four years, if the country is still here after Biden’s attempt to get WWIII going. Toward that end, I’ve been reaching out to voters from almost all political backgrounds, including Republicans. On the whole, they’re so much more sensible than shitlibs—but yes, more than enough ‘Christian Zionists’ who require education.

I’m quite satisfied with my company and how I spend my time.

Are you?

Kamala Harris raised 1 billion dollars.
She spent 1.2 billion.

The GOP spent a fraction of that.
They just had actual voters.

Why didn't you post from an actual news source then, instead of quoting some deluded Trump apparatchik? It's like your immediate reaction to the Paul Pelosi incident – and the murder of Seth Rich – instead of waiting for the facts to emerge you pounce on the most questionable interpretations because you aren't actually interested in news. Your mind is already made up.

They had dark money – not to mention all the affiliated Super PACS, MAGA-allied groups like Moms for Liberty, conservative foundations, and people like Adelson, the Uihleins, Tim Mellon, and Elon Musk. No Lash, the GOP isn't above criticism.

Because I decide what I post.

When did it slide into such authoritarianism around here?

Get over yourselves.

Are you implying the Democrats didn’t have these same types of additional sourcing? Do you count the free advertising and total demonization of Harris’ opponent by ‘news outlets’??—you can’t afford the cost of that relentless negative, hyperbolic advertising.

The near certain answer to that "why" question is that she didn't want the source she quoted identified.

As to "some bizarre quest for that tweet", of course there was nothing to identify it as a tweet. Finding it took 10 seconds through a simple google search of the quote itself.

@blatham,
You miss the point.

If you had a habit of reading actual news, you would have known this is a major story to people who don’t hide from news critical of Democrats.

As I said, it can be found everywhere.

Who I quoted would be for you—as it was for me—of no significance.

But this is who you are and who Democrats are—ignore the substance at all costs; dehumanize the source and the messenger. Avoid reality.

But, reality eventually refuses to be ignored.

Yes, you do decide what you post. As do thousands of anti-Semites, as do neo-nazis, racists, misogynists, trolls and compulsive liars. Taking persons like you to task is not an example of authoritarianism. It's a civic duty like working to get rid of air pollution or removing toxins from our water supply.

Text of the Email That Pete Hegseth’s Mother Sent Him
Penelope Hegseth sent the email to her son in 2018 as he was in the middle of divorcing his wife, Samantha.

Nov. 29, 2024
The following is the text of the email that Penelope Hegseth sent to her son, Pete Hegseth, on April 30, 2018. One sentence was redacted by The New York Times for privacy reasons.

Quote:
Son,

I have tried to keep quiet about your character and behavior, but after listening to the way you made Samantha feel today, I cannot stay silent. And as a woman and your mother I feel I must speak out..

You are an abuser of women — that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego. You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth.

I am not a saint, far from it.. so don’t throw that in my face,. but your abuse over the years to women (dishonesty, sleeping around, betrayal, debasing, belittling) needs to be called out.

Sam is a good mother and a good person (under the circumstances that you created) and I know deep down you know that. For you to try to label her as “unstable” for your own advantage is despicable and abusive. Is there any sense of decency left in you? She did not ask for or deserve any of what has come to her by your hand. Neither did Meredith.

I know you think this is one big competition and that we have taken her side… bunk… we are on the side of good and that is not you. (Go ahead and call me self-righteous, I dont’ care)

Don’t you dare run to her and cry foul that we shared with us… that’s what babies do. It’s time for someone (I wish it was a strong man) to stand up to your abusive behavior and call it out, especially against women

We still love you, but we are broken by your behavior and lack of character. I don’t want to write emails like this and never thought I would. If it damages our relationship further, then so be it, but at least I have said my piece. [Redacted]

And yes, we are praying for you (and you don’t deserve to know how we are praying, so skip the snarky reply)

I don’t want an answer to this… I don’t want to debate with you. You twist and abuse everything I say anyway. But… On behalf of all the women (and I know it’s many) you have abused in some way, I say… get some help and take an honest look at yourself…

Still happening under Biden’s lame duck presidency.
________________________

Recap: Approximately two months before Biden leaves office, he has authorized NATO countries to join in directly to the U.S.’ two year old proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. US, British and German troops have launched attacks against Russian forces in Ukraine. Russia has introduced a weapon Orenshnik which should have stopped all hostilities because the Orenshnik cannot be stopped by any other known weapon, travels at Mach 10-12, and can carry a payload of 18 independent nuclear warheads. It’s as if the two European countries are begging for annihilation.

Biden authorized this.

And now, we rejoin our current program:

Nima Alkhorshid discusses with Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson & former weapons inspector Scott Ritter facts and analysis of the current ceasefire negotiations between Lebanon and Israel. The lunacy of Seb Gorka on display. Unreliability of Trump.

Neither is Biden the Commander of NATO nor did he do it. (I suggest, you research the NATO command structure - will be helpful to avoid such silliness)
No US and/or British and/or German troop have launched attacks against Russian forces in Ukraine.

This scene was long regarded as a deliberate provocation by the Kremlin leader:
during Angela Merkel's visit to his residence in Sochi in January 2007, Russia's ruler Vladimir Putin let his Labrador ‘Koni’ run around the room. The then German Chancellor has been afraid of dogs since a dog bite in her youth and was visibly tense in the face of the large animal.
Now (29 November 2024, after the publication of Merkel's memoirs), the Kremlin leader has apologised for the incident. He had not known that Merkel was afraid of dogs. It was not his intention to intimidate the Chancellor at the time. ‘On the contrary, I wanted to create a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere,’ Putin said at a press conference. ‘I appeal to her again and say: Angela, please forgive me. I didn't mean to cause you any grief.’

Surely, you know more than Biden, AP, etc, Walter.
The US runs NATO.
Biden authorized the strikes into Russia.
No matter your dishonest obfuscation.

The truth will set you free, Walter.❤️

Biden authorizes Ukraine to use US-supplied longer range missiles for deeper strikes inside Russia

Me response was to that quote.
AP didn't say that Biden is in command of NATO nor that US, British and German troops have launched attacks against Russian forces in Ukraine.

As an aside: a small minority of national troops of NATO member states are under NATO command.

During Biden’s presidency 11/30/24, Israel is using thinly disguised terrorists / mercenaries to grab more of what their maps designate as ‘Greater Israel,’ currently known as Syria.

A coup is currently reported by independent journalists in that location.
