I know, I was just getting a about all the creepy joe bollocks when Australia is being rocked by the biggest political sex scandal in its history. Seems a bit hypocritical to say the least.

I know, there are some lovely Australians on A2K and I didn’t want to offend any of them, which is why I limited my attacks to the politicians, the people accused of something.

Builder is totally mental, he used to regularly post **** from David Icke, who is known over here for claiming to be Jesus and forecasting Cuba would sink beneath the waves before the year 2000 live on TV. I remember watching him saying it at the time.

He believes all sorts of conspiracy nonsense from the international Jewish conspiracy, faked moon landings, 911 being an inside job and an elite ruling class of lizard people.

Basically, if you can think of anything, like the Statue of Liberty for example, what’s the most ridiculous “fact” you can make up about that? What’s the craziest load of bollocks you can pull out of your arse about that.

Think about it. That’s what Builder believes, the crazier the better.

Covid-19 News: Variants and Eased Restrictions Push U.S. Cases Up Again

My husband and me got our first vaccine last Wednesday. He was a Trump supporter but the Covid virus scares him so he ignores that part of it. In fact I have a hard time telling just what he found to agree with Trump about but neither here nor there. He said one day not so long ago that someone was saying that they wanted to get the vaccine but they worried because of Biden. My husband said, well the vaccine came out when Trump was president and it was scientist who made it anyway. So it is a thing around here at least in southern parts of the country. We are always so stupid as a whole, to wit, the easing of restrictions which has made the cases rise again. duh.

What part of the South are you in? NC here, but lived in several other Southern states

Kentucky, the home of McConnell. But at least we have a democratic governor. Masks are still required in most places.

I don't know about anybody else, but I am watching the trial of the murder of George Floyd. I am already getting a nervous stomach and don't really believe, no matter how good the prosecution does in presenting the case of Chauvin's guilt, he will be convicted. The past history is set against it. Just remembering the Trayvon Martin case is making me already depressed about this case.

Jesus, Revelette - the trial is going to be weeks long. Try to restrain your gloom. I have as much - maybe more reason than anyone to be pessimistic. But I recommend you watch for short periods at a time, take plenty of deep breaths, and try to think in terms that there might - maybe- be a chance for a conviction.

Let’s try to get through this with a little grace.

Sorry, it don't always come across, but I am very strong in my emotions; mostly negative ones. Maybe once again your positivity will win out. I admit I already turned it off on the defense and started stitching.

I’m not all doe-eyed optimistic about this. I’m not naive; I have a good memory about all the miscarriages of justice in these type cases.

It’s just that bemoaning how hopeless it is has limits in usefulness. And as I said, this will be a long trial.
