Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Quote:
March 11 (Reuters) - The World Health Organization advised Ukraine to destroy high-threat pathogens housed in the country's public health laboratories to prevent "any potential spills" that would spread disease among the population, the agency told Reuters.

Like many other countries, Ukraine has public health laboratories researching how to mitigate the threats of dangerous diseases affecting both animals and humans including, most recently, COVID-19. Its labs have received support from the United States, the European Union and the WHO.

Of course I did ... ten days ago. And, of course, I've read the later published reports as well, which said, besides others that the UN is not aware of any biological weapons programme being conducted in Ukraine.

Then share those reports, Walter.

Or are you hiding something from us?
Don't you get news where you live? The Security Council's meeting was public, live streamed, and widely reported.

And since you obviously subscribed to reuters (otherwise you couldn't have read the report you quoted), you can read the follow-up reports at reiters, too.

Even when answering a cretin like Tom Cotten, which would not be at all a stretch to compare to casting pearls before swine, Judge Brown is precise with her language, graceful in her presentation, and thorough in her demonstration of her command of the facts.

49-year-old Even Neumann was charged by the FBI for his involvement in the attack on the Capitol in Washington. But a trial never took place - the US citizen already fled in February last year.

Belarus has now granted political asylum to the US citizen, who is wanted on an arrest warrant. The Belta news agency reported Neumann has been granted refugee status in the country. "I feel safe in Belarus," Neumann said, according to Belta. "I like this country."

@glitterbag,
I hope he has a long time to realize that he'd have spent six months in jail, but now he's literally living in a third world country with a leader that has swung both ways regarding his relations with the US and Russia. When the wind blows from the west, he may well find himself on a jet in cuffs sitting next to a US Marshal. I hope his troubles are only just beginning and only get incrementally worse.

Judge Jackson’s Senate hearing has left me feeling especially depressed. This talented, accomplished, brilliant black woman is being publicly flogged by republicans with every vile, crazy, Qanon rumor they can scrape up. The democrats who are there could provide a strong defense and speak up clearly about the nastiness of Cruz, Cotton, Graham and others. But they sit there thinking “oh, she’s getting in anyway, she can take it for a few more hours/ days”. It’s **** like this - their refusal to FIGHT - that loses them the enthusiasm at the voting booths.

I could not sit quietly in that chamber and watch what they are doing.

I can’t even ******* stand to watch it in the comfort and safety of my home.

@snood,
How anyone can watch the ignorant "no account" questioning by the GOP and not see a top 10 SCOTUS Justice of all times candidate is beyond me.

This is one smart, educated, high performing, strong individual. A perfect Justice.She did an incredible job avoiding the trolling and pitfalls, I was amazed how well she stated her positions without giving away how she might rule in the future. That's the strongest argument for her: She'll try a case over the evidence given, regardless her personal opinion.

I wish Kavanaugh, Barret, Thomas could be trusted to rule like that.

Much like Hillary's emails, Hunter Biden's laptop is the story that just won't quit.

By Dave Boyer - The Washington Times - Tuesday, March 22, 2022

Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop is real, but high-ranking Democrats and intelligence officials who called it a Russian operation in 2020 — and thus deluded voters — are now dodging responsibility for promoting the false tale.

In the week since the liberal New York Times acknowledged that it belatedly authenticated emails and other files from Hunter Biden’s laptop, most of the officials and media organizations that blamed the story on Moscow during the 2020 presidential campaign are refusing to comment or to acknowledge they were either wrong or lying.

The laptop, abandoned by Hunter Biden at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019, contained a trove of emails and other files detailing his business relationships in Ukraine and China, information that implicated his father in some of his dealings. Former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, an attorney for President Trump, obtained the hard drive and turned it over to the New York Times.

At the time, The Post was virtually alone in publishing the story amid a storm of denouncements from Democrats and other media outlets and a news blackout of the report by Big Tech platforms such as Facebook.

President Biden, who called the laptop story “garbage” during his second debate with Mr. Trump in October 2020, hasn’t said a word publicly about his son’s laptop files being verified by the liberal world’s newspaper of record. The White House didn’t respond to requests for comment by The Washington Times.

@bobsal u1553115,
I am not sure why but I expected little in the way of the usual from senate confirmation hearings. I mean she's been through it all before, admittedly not for the Supreme Court, but her qualifications haven't changed.

@revelette1,

she handled it all with a quiet assuredness and grace.

i wonder if she slowed down her answers to GOP questions as a way of running out the clock?

i know i would have... 😎
