I miss him, too.

@Frank Apisa,
Haven't spoken with H of T since I was living in Texas, so about 9 years ago. I miss her too, too. Regardless of all else, happy to have known them. I never met george in person, regretfully, but spent a lot of time with H of T when we were in New York, as you know, having been present at times. It just strikes me now that we actually spent more time with her than with you (she wasn't with any partner so had lots of spare time though perhaps my looks and zesty physicality might have factored in).

I have an algorithm for judging conservatives - They are OK if they like me personally.

@mommabear,
I think commies in Russia also abominate Putin's kleptocracy and his hatefulness; Putin just leans on anyone trying to stand up to him, particularly Alexei Navalny. Strictly speaking, Russia is by no means a socialist nation; it has also nothing to do with Marxism since followers of Karl Marx set great store by Marx's view that egalitarianism is good for the indigent, whereas the ruthlessness of capitalism redounds on the needy. And I think Karl Marx would have waxed indignant at Russia's rent-seeking and oligarchy . That's at odds with his view that a nation should be ruled by proles instead of entrenched nabobs.

That's not the case in Russia. Putin is quids in. His patsies are also in clover.

It's not even state capitalism in Russia. You could say it's ruled by Putinism.

Karl Marx also recognises the forces of production in his book entitled Das Kapital. Yet he still argues that capitalists' efforts to ride herd on the poor will come to nought onc the have-nots band together to slug it out with the haves. This view gained currency in Eastern Europe and some Asian nations after his books got published. At the same time, this view was also distorted by some hardliners in such nations; they resorted to street violence to egg on the poor instead of tapping into the rising influence of the labour movement , duh, after finding that labor unions' powers had been curbed by their governments leery or resentful of Marxism. Such hardliners also told their followers that they had to wrest leadership by force.

By Joshua Q. Nelson

After going viral for eviscerating critical race theory teachings, radio host and father Ty Smith said on Friday that the race-based curriculum is a "bunch of nonsense" and a harmful view of the world to convey to young children.

"To me it’s a whole bunch of nonsense, virtue signaling, playing off people’s emotion. The only race there is the human race," Smith told "America's Newsroom."

Smith said that "color was never discussed in his house at all."

"We know as children grow, they just see other kids and they will immediately start playing," said Smith, who went viral this week after blasting critical race theory at an Illinois school board meeting.

"How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?" Smith asked, adding that he worked his way through college without a mother and father in his home. He pushed back on teaching Black children that White people will prevent them from achieving success.

"How'd I get where I am right now if some White man kept me down?" he added.

The curriculum has sparked a national conversation about the role of race and racism in school districts across the country. Often compared by critics to actual racism, CRT is a school of thought that generally focuses on how power structures and institutions impact racial minorities.

Meanwhile, Virginia parents are continuing to take a stand against critical race theory being taught in their children’s schools.

Fox News’ enterprise reporter Lawrence Jones traveled to Leesburg, Virginia to have "Breakfast with Friends" at the Leesburg Diner and discuss the issue with passionate Loudoun County parents.

"It's starting to concern me...one of the reasons why we are all petitioning to recall our school board [is] it's really important that we focus on education rather than division," Michelle, a Virginia mother from a nonpartisan organization, "Fight for Our School," told "Fox & Friends" Friday.

The group of parents made the comments after the ongoing allegations that Loudoun County Public Schools has adopted critical race theory in its curriculum and staff training.

Smith went on to say, "When it comes down to it people are people. My sons never had to talk about White or Asian people. They know they were people. They were their friends, they played with them. They never once came home and said said ‘Dad, my White friend across the street.’ They just said ‘my friend.’

"The fact that people want to focus so much on race; I don’t get why they try to focus so much on that. What is so important about the color of my skin?"

The author of this article Joshua Q. Nelson, who covers politics for Fox News, is also black.

What? Fox News has black reporters? How could this be? Fox News only hires white reporters. Huh?

Quote:
(CNN)Russian President Vladimir Putin praised US President Joe Biden Thursday, describing him as a "professional" who is "completely knowledgeable on all issues," according to a Kremlin transcript of Putin's televised remarks.

"Mr. Biden is a professional, and you need to be very careful when working with him so as not to miss something," Putin said during a videoconference meeting with graduates from Russia's Graduate School of Public Administration. "He himself does not miss a thing, I assure you, and this was absolutely clear to me."

"Let me say it again: he is focused, he knows what he wants to achieve and does it very skilfully, and you can instantly sense it," the Russian President added.

@BillW,
Biden needs a cue card to remember the names of his staff.

He also has no idea what day of the week it is, or that Libya and Syria are different nations.

Putin is taking the piss.

@Builder,
biden is actually appointing new people to his staff, and he isn't firing them if they have the slightest disagreement with him and leaving huge swathes of offices unfilled, as trum did. his professionalism is a welcome change from the incompetent chaos so beloved by his predecessor.

The magnitude of the Obamacare ruling surprised me, FM, pleasantly so. I am not supposing I will continue to be pleasantly surprised in the future, but it just might happen. Barrett and Gorsuch may surprise us, although Alito and Kavanaugh seem to be plastic.

Next year will see some momentous decisions...which will impact the nation for generations to come. I pray (only a figure of speech) that the justices see fit to put political ideology aside and really, truly rule just on merit. My feelings are that the merits of most cases that matter to me are on the side of favorable decisions.

@goldberg,
Shadeed reportedly killed the girl after the girl rejected his sexual advances. A Chinese website also implied that the girl may have been raped before getting skilled.

Another Chinese girl posted an article claiming that she had been harassed by the killer before. Her school simply replaced him with another foreign teacher without firing the black teacher after the girl reported him.

Shadeed is said to have tried to seduce other Chinese girls, according to some information released by his female students. He told one of the girls to have a date with him. "We can have some fun like this. Don't be scared just go learn, " Shadeed texted.

The victim, who's a diffident girl, was an outstanding student when she was still alive, according to her classmates.

"She is a soft-spoken girl," says one of her classmates .

@goldberg,
Police say the killer cut her artery. American websites haven't written anything about this black killer. Do you think CNN and the New York Times are going to cover this? I have doubts about this. The killer is BLACK.
