Given the Democrats' history of fabricating obstruction charges against innocent people, no one believes the Democrats this time.

And given the Democrats' already-established precedent that presidential obstruction is only worth a minor fine, even if such obstruction charges could be believed its hard to see any justification for a stiffer penalty.

And then there is the fact that this entire use of the obstruction statute is unconstitutional.



You have that backwards. It is the Democrats who are abusing their power.

Trump spent four years abusing his powe and obstructing justice.Just some of the many reasons he is no longer president, and lost so ignominiously. and whines about it so incessantly.

Belarus has forced a commercial flight between Greece and Lithuania to land in Minsk. The plane was detained for two hours before being allowed to resume flight, but not after a dissident journalist was removed from the plane.

Hopefully airlines will start rerouting to avoid Belarussian airspace.

Sanctions sound like a good idea too, unless they quickly free the dissident they grabbed.

And even if it had actually been true that obstruction had occurred, the Democrats have already set a precedent that presidential obstruction only carries a penalty of a light fine.

So, in the unlikely event that the left can ever prove that this supposed "obstruction" is not just another one of their frameup jobs, and in the unlikely event that the left can convince the Supreme Court that the Constitution even allows this use of the obstruction statute, we can have Mr. Trump sign a check for a few dollars, and that will conclude the matter.
