But, it is true that I was laughing at how loony your theory is that the democrats have the market cornered on racism.

Where did I say any such thing?

This is what you were laughing at:

Quote:
Lash wrote:
No. They like blacks now. They elevate conservative blacks and other so-called minorities to positions of POWER. You won't see that in the DEMOCRAT party!!!!

The last lynching I saw was a bunch of Democrats, trying to hoist up Clarence Thomas.

And, from that you fabricate:

Quote:
You actually think that racism is a trait specifically tied to democrats? Wow
.

No wonder you guys can't get anything right.

The Dems don't give powerful positions to blacks.

The Republicans do.

Dats a fack, Jack.

And by "you guys", you obviously mean to put me in one of those comfortable little stereotype boxes...kind of like what a racist might do.

Do you have a mirror handy?

You're not a Democrat?

I'm pretty confident you're not a Republican.

You guys = Democrats. Don't you claim them? Stereotype shereotype. I'm saying what they have been doing....or NOT doing.

I am not a democrat. ****, your view is so party-colored you got me pegged as a democrat. Just 'cause I think Bush is the second coming of Satan...sheesh...you partisans...everything is so simple when you put everything into the "us" and "them" boxes, isn't it...not very conducive to clear thinking, but so much easier.

Very well. My error.

So, trade the "you guys" for "those guys"....

The only mistake was assuming you were a Democrat.

Lash, I think it might be time to take a break from the Ann Coulter stuff for awhile.

You really should take a break from that skewed world view. Trying to fit everybody in that stereotypical "us" and "them" boxes really isn't conducive to clear thinking.

I've only read about four of Coulter's columns.

Unlike a lot of rabid liberal partisans here, I don't get my material from blogs or biased writers. I read the straight news from a few sources.

You just hate Bush and weigh in most of the time (if not all the time) on the same side of issues as Democrats. Easy mistake to make.

I have asked this question many times and have never received an answer.

If the Democratic party is one of the minorities then how come all major cities which are run by Democrats still has the worst conditions for minorities? Worst education, crime rate and employment status. These are all things the Democrats have said they will fix and they have controlled these cities (L.A., Washington D.C., Chicago, and New York.) and haven't improved them in the least. Why have the Dems do nothing for the people who keep voting them in?

And Republicans have done what?

After Giuliani left office, the Democrat, Michael Bloomberg, ran as a Republican and took the office of Mayor of New York. So does that mean we can expect great things from him? Richard Riordan, the Republican, lost the office of Mayor of Los Angeles to Antonio Villaraigosa, the Democrat, after a single term. Guess the voters there didn't think they'd seen enough action out of him.

But i don't wanna rain on yer parade, you go on and try to make out that the Democrats consistently fail to deliver as the Republicans do.

Guiliani cleaned up NY. No way to deny it.

Dinkins turned it into a cesspool.

And in so cleaning up New York, we can assume he met Baldimo's standard for the just and equitable treatment of minorities? Is that your contention?

No. Not just and equitable, but caring and concern on at least one vital issue--safety.

dys, There is no way to outlaw by legislation racial bigotry. It only hides better today than was the case a few decades ago. The other day I was at a strip mall, and a lady asked me if she could ask me a question. I said, sure. She was begging for money. I said I give to Second Harvest Food Bank. She said I'm a bastard, and said do I remember Pearl Harbor? Even beggers can get nasty!

Why would she say that?

So what we have is Lash and Baldimo providing no concrete answers, just unfounded assertions. The theme of this thread is whether or not it can be said that racism can be determined by party affiliation. I've already offered the opinion that i don't believe the question can be resolved. So i am trying to get at an answer to that question from Lash and Baldimo, not just contrarian argument with unsupported statement.

Do either or both of you believe, as one might infer from your remarks, that the Democrats are more racist than the Republicans, and can you demonstrate it with anything other than conjecture and unsupported allegation?
