Eek.
Not GIVE it.....just give them the outline ("process and content"....huh?)
I HAVE had to prepare presentations in that beastly half hour they so often give you nowadays to read the questions and prepare, and then give them, though.
If you know the subject fully, it's easy!
I mean, it's easy enough to get up to speed with those knowledge things, so I am sad they picked an area I really don't know about......it will look bad, but isn't a problem when you are actually DOING a job...you just find out about stuff. I have the wherewithal at hand, too, it was something I bought recently (a whole book on regulation problems) because really traumatised kids often have no proper diurnal cycle, and have major sleep problems. I wanted to read up on how you help babies with that stuff, because I figure those are the techniques the older kids need to learn.
I had to give them "copies of recent written work" too.
I gave them a couple of reports, and the didactic section of the training we give other therapists in working with sexualised behaviour....WITH TYPOS!!! Grrrrr....my colleague had to retype the whole thing into her computer again last time we did it, because we keep changing it....and her typo catching sucks. She was typing it in the night before we did it, a couple of weeks ago, so we haven't had a chance to fix the typos.
Given that dumbo here didn't read the letter properly until last night, I was damned lucky I HAD stuff at home I could bring in!
I really don't mind too much ......I am happy if they have a better candidate who has more management and hands on infant mental health experience......
Lol! I just hate looking dumb.
