MG, being of good British stock, would never pass a caber without having the urge to toss it.
I dont think that you would be able to get Omega3 eggs here, MG...without going to somewhere specialist and paying through the nose.
One should always have lots of Omega3 though, and I buy "Pulse" (seven seas) high concentration capsules. It's supposed to be one a day, but I take two or three, as I like to think that at least I'm getting a sufficiency..
..although since taking this dosage, I keep getting the urge to swim upstream and breed.
Other recommended supplements.
1. Selenium. Britain stopped buying wheat from Canada some time ago, and their wheat is high in selenium. So now us Brits can be deficient in this important thingummybob. It is a strong anti cancer thingy, antioxidants and all that. (Boots, Holland and Barret etc)
2. If you are youngish, and dont want to creak too much when you get old, it's a good idea to take Glucosamine tablets every day. This is made from ground up mussel shells, and has been shown to keep ligaments and various joint mechanisms in good working order. Patients who had major knee operations were "blind tested" about a year back.
Those who were given Glucosamine, showed a much more rapid healing process, and their "success" rate was significantly higher.
Apparently, the best concentrations are to be found in the New Zealand "Green lipped Mussel", but normal stuff from Boots, H and B etc, will do the job.
.....and any good quality multivitamin should keep your nose shiny, and a spring in your step.
Weet bix and pineapple juice on dayshift and roster days. Bacon and egg mcfuffin and hot cakes on the way home when I'm on nightshift.
MG - Try hard boiled eggs. You can cook them up in batches, keep them in the fridge and then eat them when you want.
I usually eat a hard boiled egg, whole wheat toast with a small amount of natural peanut butter, and a tall glass of low sodium V8 juice for breakfast. The protein from the eggs and pb keep me full until lunch, the fiber and carbs from the toast aid in digestion, and the vegetable juice is a great source of many vitamins and antioxidants.
Lord Ellpus-your a little saucepot, I would reply to your caber comment but Im a laaaaydeeeee.
Goodfielder-I buy free range too, seen too many horrid pics of chickens imprisoned in cages.
Jb-not keen on hard boiled egg, I dont like the yolk, but love the white bit.I hate to waste food.
Breakfast yesterday was a tofu scrambler.
Tofu that was frozen for 2 days, then strained. Cooked in extra virgin olive oil with seasoned rice vinegar, organic tamari, fresh squeezed lime juice, crimini mushrooms, seasoned salt, on a bed of baby spinach with organic baby tomatos with avacado.
Todays breakfast, organic chicken , grilled with fresh basil, honey and sea salt. On a bed of spring mix salad with black olives , shredded carrots, crimini mushrooms and a little blasamic vinegar.
( im sure you can tell, im no conventional breakfast eater. ;-) )

Sunday brunch is a bagel with a smear (cream cheese) and a slice of smoked salmon (can you guess my ethnic background now?).
Ethnic background.....smoked salmon, bagel.....hmmm.......I guess that you're Scottish/Jewish and that your real name is Ruth MacCohen.
Porridge.....the real name for what Americans call Oatmeal...
Really, oatmeal? It looks like what we call grits, which I think is ground hominy. Do you folks eat gruel also?- Maybe that's what is confusing me.
You are very close on the name Lord E., it's actually Fiona Ginsberg.
I seem to be in a toast and butter for breakfast rut. I used to alter that with cereal and almond milk (lactose intolerant) or oatmeal. But, toast is just soooo easy. I have a cuppa joe too. Then, I eat an early-ish lunch.
Champagne - now that's a breakfast food!
Last week I managed to jam some egg-drenched bread in a Snack-maker and produce quite acceptable French Toast! Sadly, coffee had to do - I was at work.
I once saw a programme about healthy eating, and had a breakfast of All Bran and Figs.
I was fine up until about midday, then I shat for England.
Wont do that again.
Today I had a glazed chocolate cake Krispy Kreme donut. Mmmmmmm.......

Just a slave to nutrition, aintcha?
Normally I have fresh fruit. Cut up watermelon, kiwi and pineapple. But today, man that donut called to me.

Er, maybe you could try the All Bran OR the Figs. You'll still be clean as a whistle, but it would be much less traumatic.

Pour some prune juice on top - that will really get things moving!
You could spruce it up with a bit of psyllium husks and heavy porter - book your cubicle early though.....
