Hello!
I would like to get a tattoo of the sentence „time is a valuable thing“. Sadly I never learned Latin but I really like the language. Can anybody translate it to me ?
The online translators translated it : „tempus pretiosum est“ and also sometimes with „illud“ at the end of the sentence. I just have no idea what is actually the right grammar here and I definitely don’t want to have a sentence tattooed which is translated wrong..
Thank you for your help! :-)
And also sorry for my bad english
@Kiramhn,
The translator got it right;
tempus pretiosum est is a correct translation.
You don't need
illud.
@George,
Thank you! But is it really right to say pretiosum and not pretiosus ?
@Kiramhn,
I'd trust George on this matter. He's very good.
I wanna be pretty and pretiosum too.
I'm thinking:
I am therefore I ink.
Sum ergo atramento
Haven't decided where.
