So it was not liquified. It was however half the size of a normal brain and basically non functional. In addition she was blind and in a vegitative state. Are you suggesting knowing that they did the wrong thing by letting her die??

From reading through these responses It is clear that the liquification process is in the early stages for more than a few respondents.

I didn't know we were starving people for blindness now.

Jesus Christ.

I guess microencephalics are next.

Hey. Maybe the Dems could win an election that way. They obviously can't do it any other way.

Cute rejoinders, really.

But, doesn't it worry you that people who can't speak for themselves are now being put down like dogs?

It sets an ominous precedent.

Yes, Lash, it does. It let's us kill people just because we want to.

Oh, but wait, according to your theory on the buying of juries, we can do that now, as long as we have the money.

well yeah, you have to go back over 40 years to find that just lynching them was good enough.

It's not my theory. Yopu don't believe a jury has ever been tampered with?

Why, then, is there a law against Jury Tampering?

Why is there a law against ripping that tag off your mattress?

But I do want to disagree that people who can't speak for themselves are being put down like dogs. We are much kinder to dogs -- we put them to sleep.

Of course I do. It's just that the way you put it, in your alarmist style, it makes it sound like it is practically standard practice, which, I believe, is bullshit.

lash,

a physician stated that her brain had liquefied. OBVIOUSLY, he was wrong. another physician stated that she had been abused. OBVIOUSLY, he was mistaken as well.

The claim that she was conscious was based largely on her eyes moving to follow a balloon and looking up to smile at her mother. OBVIOUSLY, she was not conscious.

630g is well below the brain size of microcephalics. it's also below the brain size of Homo Erectus. according to a peer-reviewed article, there's exactly one known instance of a normally functioning individual with a brain smaller than Homo Erectus, at 680g. click here to read it.

HER BRAIN WAS NOT L<edit>D......as, lo, many here claimed....

Just did a search on the L word. There's only one poster who's used it as often as Lash - and their initial use of it was in a quote from somewhere else.

http://www.able2know.com/forums/search.php?search_id=860246410&start=0

Until Lash used the word today, it had barely been seen here at A2K.

<tried searches with a couple of spelling, and tense, variants. Lash is the current champion for use of the L word in original posts (i.e. not a quote)>

Not sure what's in it for Lash to make some of the claims she does.

I often wonder if it's simply for the entertainment value, but in this case that would be truly tasteless.

There is no law against the consumer ripping the tag off a mattress, just the retailer.

Where around the country has it been a precedent for those who can't speak for themselves being put down like dogs. Trying to make it sound like it's a weekly occurance spoils the argument.

Google says:

Results 1 - 10 )pages) of about 293 for Shiavo brain liquified. (0.27 seconds

It was widely reported that her brain was liquified.

The fact that I have said the word more often here means nothing.

It was the reason a lot of people said she should be starved. The reasoning was incorrect.

That is the point I made.
