Yes, sir. It is more complicated than that. And I am not in psychology.

I completely disagree, Val. Many men are extremely intelligent and well-rounded.

Why is it that when most people have a general idea of men, despite the actual men in their lives, what they think of is an over-sized, big-headed, brainless hog that would otherwise sit on the couch all day eating chips and watching football, until a woman walks into their lives and they suddenly become a slim, built, intelligent business man who has a glowing halo around his body and porn-music playing anytime he strikes a pose?

I know a lot of men who are well-achieved without the help of a woman in their lives. The arrogance that a man needs a woman for anything is hogwash. Cooking, cleaning, emotions...all men have the ability to possess these things, and many do, without a woman. In my opinion, to think otherwise would be a sour attempt to further women's superiority. And God, I hate that attitude.

Terry - where are you from and how old are you? I never cater to my husband (he caters to me) - actually we both share in the work at home.
Typically he cooks - I had no choice in the bearing of children part though as some one said earlier though I wouldn't have changed this for anything.

I do have to agree with the male ego thing though - no matter whether he is a stay at home dad or a very traditional bread winner type man, there is something about that male ego that needs protecting.

And one thing to note now on the intellectual scale - more women attend college than men in the US.

Biology and cultural history cannot be discussed?
Well, sir, I respect your authority in those matters - and in the others. So I will shut up.

Don't take it to heart Val, these Professor's they are rather eccentric, coupled with excesses of alcohol of which they all enjoy, it adds to them being temperamental.

Not so tempera,
But very mental!

That about right Professor Spendius?

I'm in Seattle, Spendius and there's a Dylan exibit here at the Jimi Hendrix Museum. I spent Tuesday afternoon there. It was very nice. And when I left, on the way back to the monorail.........I rode the Merry-go-round and thought of all my a2k friends.

Sooooo, as a sometime poster, I don't get the venom, or fanciful venom, between mathos and spendius, who seem to me (admittedly foggy) to be the same person.

Could you two, Spendius and Mathos, or vice versa, work out a chart for the odd posters among us? Otherwise I must admit to perplexity, even ennui.

That chart should be distributed freely to any new members of A2K when they join. Just so their brain doesn't get rather jammed up and become like a copy of a copy of a copy.

Excuse me, pioneers of The New World.
We are not the same person. If you can devise a manner for it to be proven to you beyond any shadow of a doubt, once and for all. Please let me know.

May I ask, what has given rise to the belief that spendius and mathos are the same person? I have seen this statement elsewhere also, still I have not seen anything to suggest it.

I don't really think they are the same - the idea was an amusing construct to me. They often post near each other and seem to trade digs freely. I don't read the posts often enough to have clarified each person in some way in my mind.
