Of course, if he came out, he'd have a whole new fan base. I'd like to witness that in my lifetime, a major movie or recording star coming out of the closet. My argument has always been that their fan base would merely shift and they wouldn't lose anything. It remains to be seen but I sure would like to see that theory put to the test once and for all.
Your wish has been granted. How about these actors/actresses who came out of the closet... Ellen DeGeneres, Richard Chamberlain, Dick Sargent, Heather Matarazzo. Granted, they are not all superstars, but actors nonetheless. Do you remember Liberace, Rock Hudson and many more who I cannot remember. To me, it doesn't matter one way or another. As long as people don't try to force their lifestyle on me...live and let live.
