The Smuckers brand is peanuts and salt, but Smuckers just sounds so ordinary they named it Laura Scudders. Can't read the label without thinking fo Nerimiah Scudder.

Trader Joe's makes a good natural PB, salted or unsalted, and reasonably priced.

If the Elvis sandwich sounds good, try the deep fried margarine sticks. It's a real killer.

Hey, Don1, try peanut butter and crumpets sometime.

Letty, I understand that Elvis used to love Peanut butter and Jam (Jelly) sammiches.

I can understand that even though it's not one of our favourites.

However what we do eat now and then, is a sandwich of Lancashire cheese ( which is a bit tart tastewise) with a thin layer of jam (just to add a little sweetness to it) It works extremely well.

I suppose it's not much different.

Wasn't it the Brits who came up with the deep fried Mars bar?

'K, i'll bite . . . what's an Elvis sammich?

Peanutbutterlovers-dot-com

Krema is alleged to be the oldest continuously produced brand of peanut butter.

Man, that Krema just knocks me out ! ! ! They make several other nut butters, as well.

Where the hell did that disgusting idea come from? although I'm told that IF the mars bar is kept VERY COLD before being dipped in batter and deep fried it will be o.k. and should be served with ice cream.

You can't find Mars bars in the States anymore, at least not easily. I think the Brits deep fry them all.

Mars bars are readily available in the eastern U.S., and in Ontario.

Another icky American candy bar Confused

Now, if they would just sell Jif here.

You and the dogs like the healthy stuff.
It's ok.
I can go years between peanut butter sandwiches and not worry about it.
But when I do have a peanut butter sandwich, it's gotta be smoooooooooth and creamy and rich and nasty, and on squishy bread.

Nothing like cheese and jam sarnies.

I'm not familiar with the Trader Joe's, Soz, so i can't compare. Have you tried the Krema?

I have. They're both very good, and actually quite similar. Only difference is that I've been hooked on TJ's since Pasadena days and was thrilled to find that there was one within 30 miles.

I'm not sure if I'd recommend it as a destination for you -- I love the place, but what it's best for is stocking up to feed a family including kids. Cheap, healthy, tasty. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, though, check it out.

Easton . . . i hate Easton . . . ten years ago, that was all forest. Then they bull-dozed it all, uprooted every tree for literally square miles around, and built that crappy non-town. When you're there, you can see thousands of yards of pathetic ground cover on clay, where once there were trees and topsoil. I hate the place . . . did i mention that already?
