If you don't know what the Hecate sub-strata is you really ought to be making your contributions to A2K on threads which the sweet,pretty things pass their time with. Socrates is reported to have been joined in holy wedlock with one such and another did Nero in a variant incarnation of which there are many examples.
WV and ladies, I cannot apologise for the offender of course. However, his true (if there is such a thing on his behalf) calibre is accentuated well and truly in his filthy, nauseating, below gutter level choice of words on these pages in front of you all. Not only is his character re-emerging after the filthy tirade he issued on the ID thread some months back, which had to be removed in view of it's content and the likely possibility that children read these pages, but he attempts to undermine those 'egg-head Yanks' with spit and venom one might associate as being no lower than the belly of the serpent he seeks to represent with exaccerbated aplomb in his personal manner of presentation. It is disgusting.
I have no idea how Farmerman and his respectable colleagues put up with him on a day to day basis, they are considerate and saintly indeed.
The over zealous masturbating he carries out on those pages is enough to make a Saint submit to the gates of hell.

I rather think gentlemen that you are encouraging the decline of his grey matter, which has never been suitable to the modern world.
In a nutshell;- He doesn't act stupid, it's the real thing.
Now that's English assertion. Notice the style and panache as he dredges words of a certain odour from his store of such things.
Once you get addicted to assertions that's about where it goes if you're much good at it which Mathos isn't yet due to the impetuosity of the flow. I daresay he had the tip of his tounge peeping out of the corner of his mouth as his eager fingers tried, obviously vainly, to keep apace with the thought processes and their verbal symbols which, as all anti-IDers know are physical objects in the body changing from micro-moment to micro-moment unless a bit worked up about something such as a pain in the arse.
But he shows promise.

Mathos, if spendi were getting on anyones nerves they would just ignore him. it must be remebered that we give it back to him and , although he doesnt parade out any new thinking, hes at least consistently obscure in his points. I think that, if spendi would have spent more time shaping up his writing style at Uni (assume he went to UNi), he would be a much more powerful arguer. He does bring up interesting metaphors and he recites from his heros in phylosophy, however, he doesnt accomplish the above with any sense of communication "style". His sentences often just trail off with rather silly juxtapositioning of philosophy, followed by often vapid analogies.
Were used to this kind of argumentum ad antiquitatem. ITs fun to read and even more fun to try to figre how spendi got this way.
As a fellow UKer, is spendi's misogyny and class obsession a common pathology over there?
Unfortunately yes, and I understand from his past rantings that he was raised on a massive country estate.
Now these 'toffs' can be rather class conscious, but as you have noted, his educational standards leave much to be desired, then again he has stated senior school days were spent at a Catholic run Grammar School...Dangerous!
With regards to the misogyny, again I and others on the Brit and Trivia threads have noted this failing on his behalf with extremely strong concern. It is difficult to assess from his rantings if he has been married?
I have not ruled out the possibility that he could be a lapsed or de-frocked and excommunicated Priest. Hanky Panky with a female and being exposed he blames ALL females!
What do you think the possibility is?
I invent a persons appearance in my mind as I post a reply. I had speculated a number of things about spendi in the past. Among them
He was a clergyman because his philosophical leanings tend around the notables that were favorites of the Jesuits ( among whom I too recieved the respect for the "realms of gold")
He was an old sot who protects his lager with a "circle the wagons" arm motion . This I say because he periodically dwells on one point to the exclusion of all others and it gets rather trite after the first 5 posts .(Excluding his obsession with Dylan, which I find most annoying being a RAy Charle fan)
I originally thought that you and he were the "good cop bad cop" embodied in a single person. (I admit putting that to bed after Id seen several posts by each of you almost simultaneously). Now unless that was part of the ruse(in which Id have to confer a medal for a Holmsian attention to detail)
Lastly I envisioned him as a precocious 13 year old who is having us all on in between his "game boy or X-Box"
I prefer the clergyman, although I hadnt ever considered him defrocked. His reference to "class issues" I find most annoying although coming from someone over here we confer class via the Oligarchy presently in power.
Another thing I find most interesting is his anachronistic focus. He was accused of being "irrelevant" by a member and , while true, Im almost certain that spendi just doesnt give a squat that manufacture of wagon wheels isnt part of our economies to any great degree.
I know that hes not being truthful about his familiarity with science or te sciences , so he wishes to divert the topic away from the ID argument as crafted , to an irrelevant pont or two that hes trying to force fit.
Otherwise hes a good ole boy.
It isn't often that I worry about fellow threaders but when one expresses a concern for my well being I always think that it is my duty to guide him to the nearest nursing care centre (center) where I have been told they have facilities for calming down such crackpot tensions. Darkened rooms and looped tapes of Mr Sinatra singing My Way are said to be effective at calming down over-virtuous presbyterians. It's another of those obscure irreducible complexities which are beyond my understanding.
