@Frank Apisa,
If it's a misuse of logic, please explain yourself - if you can. LOL

Sorry, but I havent even been paying attention to you with the exception of taking a word count of "atheist" and then trying to make sense of a somewhat incoherent "argument"..

Intelligent Design (be it theistic, or not) needs to have some established fact to be even mildly attractive as an argument.Right now Its baseless. It IS a fun term because its easy to validate , simply state that some condition applies that precludes naturalism.

"timeless archetype"
when common phrases are "borrowed" from other disciplines they need to have established a pattern of wider recognition. Sorta like the way the term "taxonomy" has been bandied about as a newer puter term. I find it somewhat tedious when the histories of words and phrases are discounted . Words and phrases have very precise meanings. Glomming them and pasting together to create new, but somewhat vacuous phrases isnt uncommon in these sorts of discussions.
You seem to be easily impressed, I am not.

@cicerone imposter,
The "logic" that says "Evolution therefore no intelligent design" is about as far away from logic as "A god made everything."

If you don't get it, ci...it has to do with your comprehension abilities...and I am not about to try to deal with that.

@Frank Apisa,
Nothing wrong with my logic or comprehension skills. Your position doesn't provide any evidence; only your imagination. You need to learn the definition of simple words such as logic and comprehension.

It's not that you won't deal with it; you can't!

@farmerman,
You are quite right ya know...I am impressed with what deserves impression not oblivious... its called progressive learning...prolly something that at your age is hard to do, I got that to.
As for words meaning woow...what other job there is to philosophy even science but to question status quo and common sense...boy you are naive, just look at the evolution of language and meanings...it seams you can't apply your own credo when it is most needed...words precise meaning is a joke to any enlightened person...the more precise the less sense and justification it actually has...you can pull that one on young students not me....
Finally and for the third time I am not taking a stance in favour of ID I am EXPLORING some potential in it. That you can't see it is no surprise but its not my problem either.

You are way out of your depth, ci. But you just want to be your usual scorning self...so I am laughing at you.

Besides...you gave me great ammunition with that definition of atheist earlier...much to the chagrin of your fellow "atheists."

What a laughable bunch.

@Frank Apisa,
That's a dictionary definition for atheist. You can laugh all you want; only proves how dense you are.

I understand that is a dictionary definition for atheist, ci.

It is the definition I have been insisting on right along.

We are shoulder to shoulder on this...an atheists IS INDEED SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES THERE IS NO GOD.

We are in agreement.

I agree with you.

You are correct.

I agree with what you have said here...and earlier about the definition of atheist.

You really are not the brightest bulb on this tree, ci.

But you are spot on about the atheist definition.

TO THE ATHEISTS HERE:

Don't mind my laughing. I'm laughing at you...not with you.

You have been uttering this crap for years.

It just proves you know nothing about atheists.

That you know some atheists (of the American persuasion) that think that way by no means indicate that atheists in general follow this pattern.

At least not this one.

Hey, Timur. Good to see ya.

One of your fellow genius...oops, atheist is the one that is asserting an atheist is someone who believes there are no gods.

You are saying he is wrong?

But he is so certain he is right.

C'mon...set him straight!

I get a laugh out of you attempting something like that.

So, c'mon, ci. Timur thinks you are dead wrong. He thinks your assertion is "crap."

You're not going to stand for that...are ya???

Tell him why your are correct.

Ya cannot beat this place for entertainment.

@Frank Apisa,
Each atheist has his own concept of thinking.

I don't give a **** about how you define agnosticism.

You have no right to define my atheism and pretend to know how I think.

I hate the Talibans of thoughts.

Some of the atheists here have no concepts at all.

Thank you for sharing that.

Have I tried to do that...or is that just your imagination doing what it usually does...which is run amok?

Ahhh. Whatever the "Talibans of thoughts" is...I am sure it feels reproached.

In the meantime...you are a fellow human being and I LOVE YOU.

Could be. I don't mind borrowing from him, if that is what you are suggesting. He's a very intelligent guy.
