Today I tripped my 2-year-old sister, Ashley and my parents grounded me for one week. I then said that being grounded was so stupid and they extended my grounding time to 2 weeks!!! That's half of a month!!! I think grounding is so boring because because you are locked up in your room and can't come out except for meals, baths, and school. H-E-L-P!!!!!

@Jessalin Andrews,
You intentionally tripped a toddler?

@Jessalin Andrews,
Ahhh, count your blessings chicken, at least you have parents who care enough about you to teach you a lesson.

Do yourself a big favour too, during your incarceration stay away from electronic devices and read a good book or two.

Ample reason for grounding

I then said...

When the punishment is given, accept it. Do not complain or talk back.

Just as it should be. If it were enjoyable, you'd not learn from it.

@Sturgis,
As I recall from grounding, it's not meant to be fun.

There is a certain type of teenager that will not be grounded, they simply tell their parents to 'kiss my ass'.
But the highly rebellious teenagers rarely find a good future ahead of them - so dont go down that path, make a choice, take the punishment, and do it for yourself!

@Jessalin Andrews,
And for Christ's sake don't assault 2 year olds or 3 year olds or anybody ever again....that was a jerk move....

@Jessalin Andrews,
I just finished reading a book in which a little brother climbed into bed with his sister. She got annoyed and nudged him out. He landed on the floor, hit his head, and died. A bit extreme. But actions do have consequences.

And then talked back...never talk back that always adds time to your sentence.

How boring can it be if you have internet access?

@Roberta,
That's ridiculous... That is not about actions having consequences, If it was, the message is that you should live your life in such a terrified state of worry about the slightest thing hurting someone, that your life would simply not be worth living.
All it is, is a stupid death, a stupid, wasteful and pointless death for no good reason that belongs on the tv show called 'stupid deaths'.

Talking back was not tolerated in our house.

@mystikmind,
Actions do have consequences....you must still be very young or very entitled.

My grounding usually meant even meals were in my room. Other times, I was to stand with my back to the rest of the family.

@glitterbag,
I see what you did there.... you strip away the very specific context i was talking about and then reveal your big wisdom 'Actions do have consequences....you must still be very young or very entitled.' you must be very proud.....

@mystikmind,
I don't tolerate sassy mouth from anyone, you are now grounded. Go stand in the corner and think about your actions.
