Like Pappy Bush, who had never seen a supermarket scanner, i suspect Charlie III has never filled his own tank . . . maybe Camilla Horseface Bowes', but not his own . . .

I paid 2.99 today for the low rent gas, but according to online source it's 2.57 nearby. I was in big hurry and sucked it up. Odd since most in town are usually quite close in numbers.

We are usually the highest or near highest area in California here in north north, for good reason in that we are fairly isolated by a large amount of forest (guessing that's the reason, but who knows.) Some fancy areas in the SF peninsula tend to match us...

I saw 2.49 this evening, the lowest price I've seen since ... well, I can't remember. It's been a long while.

$2.19 for unleaded regular this evening at an independent station; a major-brand station on the other side of town (closer to The Big Road) had 2.36 on its much bigger sign.
