Is there a term for assuming information is correct? For example, you’re a student studying for an exam and instead of independently attempting to solve problems you simply look at the solutions to practice problems and say “that makes sense” (and therefore don’t absorb any info). Another example would be if you’re doing a practice problem, view someone else’s work/solution and just assume it’s correct.
