Didn't they also try and tie the nazi's to Arnold as well? I bet if you look at any family that was in business in those days and is still in business today, you will find a link. I don't know why people still think this is a big deal, it's not as if Bush is going to have you walking in the streets goose stepping and wearing jack boots!

Well, it's not difficult to tie Arnold to the Nazis, as his father was a Captain in the SS.

So does that refelct on Arnold in any way? It shouldn't any more then Robert "KKK" Byrd being an ex-Klan memeber. Very Happy

Well, there are a few other factors to consider.

You should peruse some of the archived interviews with Arnold's bodybuilding days, where he says that he's 'Always had dreams of being a dictator' and that he 'didn't think that weak people were capable of running their own lives correctly.'

I remember watching the RNC and seeing him speak about how terrible it was when the Russians rolled into town and his father was harrassed at a checkpoint and ruined the village/town he lived in. Not a single word about how clean the town was since they'd gotten rid of all of those Jews, though, nope....

Do your own research on it; you'll be surprised at what you find!

Actually,thats not true either.
His father was a member of the Nazi party, but his father was in the SA.His father was a cop, thats all.
His father joined the Nazi party to keep his job, thats all.

The SA? The Brownshirts? You could still be a cop in Austria without having to join a para-military political organisation. You could still be a member of the military without membership either if I recall - you joined to get ahead and brown-nose or you just liked being a Nazi......

That's complete bullsh*t mys. You are right that I meant to say SA instead of SS, but to suggest the SA were mere cops and that Gustav joined only to save his job is completely false.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Schwarzenegger

Quote:
Gustav Schwarzenegger (August 17, 1907 - December 1, 1972), son of Karl Schwarzenegger, was a policeman (Gendarmerie-Kommandant), postal inspector, and high ranking soldier of the Nazi party. He was the father of Hollywood star and California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

An Austrian legal document indicates that Gustav Schwarzenegger was certainly a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA), later known as "Storm troopers" or "Brown Shirts." He joined the SA on May 1, 1939, about a half year after the SA assisted in the launch of Kristallnacht ("Crystal Night" or "Night of the Broken Glass") with SA Unit 512. That was one year after Germany invaded Austria.

Schwarzenegger's war record has come under public scrutiny since his son won the 2003 California ...

The maxims of the SA?

"Terror must be broken by terror" (1)
"All opposition must be stamped into the ground" (1)

Why are you defending this guy?

I'm defending nobody,I corrected false information,thats all.

Why are you holding the sins of the father against the son?
That is a little narrow minded on your part, isnt it?

As Bush seems to have plenty of fascist tendencies, it would explain the family legacy.

The sins of the father have been successfully passed on to another generation, but with a few enhancements...

Sorry, I hate Bush with a vengence and every part of my being. . However to tie him to what a family member had done in the past is out of line.

A more direct, far less ambiguous American-Political-Dynasty-and-the-Nazis link than any involvin' Bush or The Governator exists:

Joseph Kennedy and the Jews

The Kennedy-Nazi Connection

Not that any such link-nonsense has a damned thing to do with anything of current substance or relevance. Nothin' more than history trivia.

Yes, JFK's father was a Nazi sympathizer. That was no secret.
