I don't think Christie hit Kobe. I think you're thinking of his uppercut to Fox. Mebbe you hate Kobe enough that your wishes seem to be true. If you did, you still wouldn't dislike the punkass brat as much as I do.

A-HA! I just found out what happened. Wikipedia kicks ass. You were right, snood. It WAS Rick Fox that Doug Christie punched near the locker rooms. I always hated Rick Fox too, so that works for me just as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakers-Kings_rivalry

Quote:
In a game between the Kings and Lakers in the 2003 preseason, a fight broke out on-court in the 1st quarter 2 minutes into the game between Kings guard Doug Christie and Lakers forward Rick Fox. After being separated, the two were ejected from the game, to their teams' respective locker rooms. Rick Fox jogged around to confront Doug Christie again as Christie was leaving the court. The two players fought at the locker room alley that involved both Kings and Lakers bench. The altercation resulted in Fox being suspended 6 games and Christie suspended 2 games.

Could be. What I remember wasn't so much a punch as a closed-fist shove to the jaw. Like, "Goddamn, I really want to pop this bastard, but I know I shouldn't."

I've been there.

And yeah, I'm no fan of Kobe. Though he does some amazing things with the basketball...

For all but the longevity scoring records, you pretty much have to begin or end everything with "except Wilt Chamberlain."

Golden State plays up-tempo, and Jason Richardson isn't exactly a stopper...

Thank goodness he didn't get the 5th straight just another one of his selfish antics trying to accomplish a selfish-feat.

usually a scoring binge like that hurts the team -- the other 4 guys just stand around and watch.

but since the lakers have won five straight, i can't criticize...

Any of you guys know what are those straps/braces called that Yao Ming wears (clear pic of it on Yao Ming on nba.com) and players such as Chris Bosh also wears something on his knee.

How about 'em black tight pants? Suppose to keep the structure of the legs stable I think. Just plain old ballerina pants? So anybody knows the name of knee straps/braces greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Anybody know where I can find a good small pic of the new red claw for the Toronto Raptors symbol. I tried googling and the best it got me was the silver claw.

I know he's no Spudd Webb still I'm just wondering what is TJ Ford's vertical b/c after watching him get up that high easily dunking with two hands it looks like it's well into the 40s (inches). I'm guessing Spudd is the only player ever to reach 50 (if he did).

Can anybody tell me how did the Raptors clinch home advantage with the win tonight when I thought they clinched it awhile ago. Isn't Raptors gaurantee of home advantage by clinching the Atlantic then what's this going on about the Raptors securing home advantage tonight? I'm just not sure that's all.
