I had some addidas basketball shoes but that was when I was in middle school. Maybe I'll try them again although I like my Nike's.

Here's a story about the end of the season awards. Although I'm not a Kobe fan, I have to agree that he's the MVP. You take him away from the Lakers and they maybe win 20 games. He's been damn impressive and consistent this year. Obviously, Chris Paul is rookie of the year and I had forgotten about Carter's dunk over Mourning in the beginning of the season, one of the best I've ever seen. What do you guys think?

Yeah Mourning got what he deserved...

All Carter dunks are the best I've ever seen. People of T.O. still loves the guy as you can see why...

Okay, boys, my religious season begins in less than an hour! Let us all observe a moment of silence before the NBA playoffs begin...

..................

So who do you think will win it all? Although I hate to say it, I think Detroit is the team to beat...again. I'd love to see Cleveland make a good run at it, and I think that Lakers/Suns series promises to be a great matchup in the first round. Kobe! Kobe! Kobe!

Don't worry. You'll get sucked in eventually. Today wasn't bad. I think the Bulls looked pretty good, but they don't have enough to win that series. Cleveland looked pretty good today. LeBron sure didn't disappoint. This Clippers series looks like it's going to be fun too. Sam Cassell is one of the most fun players to watch in the playoffs.

So how many points is Kobe going to score tomorrow? I'm going with 50 on the nose.

I would sooner be eaten alive by a wild animal than watch a single moment of professional basketball.

De- Troit Basketball!

Whoo hoo!!

I am going to the game on Wednesday and I can't wait to see them spank Milwaukee.

I agree with Kicky...Pistons are the ones to beat. The question is, will they choke like they did last year? And will all the starters be healthy enough to play the entire series? T

I'm a Detroit fan, as well. I think Billups needs to move the ball, and they need to stop penetration by Ginobli and Parker, if they get a chance to redeem themselves against San Antonio.

Yes your Pistons looked good although only against Milawaukee. I think they will make it to the Finals. In the West although the Spurs turned in one of the most dominating playoff games I have ever seen in Game 1 I think the Mavs could challenge them. The Mavs looked very strong agaisnt the Grizz, putting up 60 first half points and the Grizz ony gave up 88.5 points per game all season.

Mavs Win Game 1

A great first two days of the playoofs. I hope the Suns/Lakers series continues at that pace and excitement. Enjoy all.

They'd better look good, as they are considered the best team in the NBA.

Yes, he's had planta fasciitis all season that's defintely affected his stats. Luckily for them Parker has picked up the slack and scored more points in the paint than any player this season, even centers. Also, the Spurs set a franchise record for wins. Imagine if Duncan would have been at %100 all year.

Kobe Bryant is a legend. MVP? Oh yeah. That was some of the best **** I've seen on a basketball court since the Larry Johnson 4-point play in '99.

I was out today and there was a TV showing the Bulls-Heat game. It hammered home how totally out of it I've been. I was sputtering all the way through -- what, Shaquille's on the Heat now?? What, PAT RILEY??. Absolutely pitiful.

I had a pavlovian reaction to the Bulls uniforms and started rooting for them, though, and they were way root-worthy! I was really getting into it but sozlet wasn't having it. "You already like football," she said. Hmph. I'm trying to be grateful that I have all this time back that I used to spend as a sports fan (football and basketball thoroughly, baseball sometimes), but I'm currently not feeling it. I want to watch more!!!

Hehehe...things have changed in the last couple seasons, eh? Incidentally, I agree. The Bulls are definitely root-worthy.

Yup - hate to gripe about refs, but the non-call "jumpball" on Nash was Boolsheet.
