Well, it seems to me that he just recognizes the private account system is not a magical solution, but it will certainly improve the situation. What's wrong with it? It is a sign of consciousness and political maturity.
On the other hand the Dems are claiming that no change should be made,based merely on the grounds of their beliefs,without attending any reason or argument. "Future insolvency, economic inefficiency, an ill-conceived and dangerous payment system... don't matter. Reform means neocon despoilment programme"... and they keep repeating this rubbish everyday
And THERE IS a war, of course. The posts stating the contrary are a good example of the classic liberal denial of reality.
