In Deuteronomy Chapter 18 verses 14-20 God gives a discription of Jesus.
Verse 20, the last part says, That his heart be not lifted above his bretheren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand , or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Isreal.
Deut 18:21-22 Tells the Jews how they are to know who to believe.
Tha anti-Christ is discribed as anyone who does not say that Jesus lived, died, and has risen to the right hand of the Father.
One thing I will say is beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing, because Satan is smarter than we are, and only through faith you will know whether or not your following the true God or Satan's advocate who will try to mirror God, making him hard for most people to know.
According to Jews God is both good and evil only after the Captivity in Babylon did the Jews adopt the Persian duality view of a good God and an evil Satan for in the original Jewish view Satan was just the heavenly prosecutor. (See Jonah and Satan's role therein).

This passage describes Lucifer not Satan. The idea of falling from heaven is from this passage which Thumpers always refers toSatan but it really refers to Jesus.
talk72000,
And I have never heard of any Jewish person believing that God is both good and evil.
I have no clue as to where you are getting your information. But Satan/Lucifer was cast out of heaven. That passage does not refer to Jesus.

Nonsense, from a logic perspective: In that each is an aspect embodied within a particular belief set, they share the attribute of being of that belief set, and thus, in that respect, are one.
I could go on.
Here's a perfect example of someone who has no faith. Someone who can not tell the difference between good and evil. Timber, Satan is a copy-cat. He's good at it huh?
Talk 72000,
You make me want to puke.
talk72000,
Are you one of those that calls themselves Angels of Light? They believe the God of the OT is really the devil and something else that I had never heard of until I ran across one of them.

You would have to show that with some evidence. God condemned Satan in the third chapter of Genesis.
BTW, Lucifer is a title, not a name.

Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of Hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah says "beside me there is no God" so how can Jesus at the right hand of God.
The use"anti-christ" is typical violent religionist intolerance and undemocratic urges to silence critics.
Jesus is the perfect Wolf in Sheep's clothing as he appears as a holy man to make people worship him rather than God.
This is what exactly Jesus is doing mirroring God.
Anyway, I am not religious. I wrote this to point out the nonsense and contradiction, real BIG one here, in the Bible.

Whoa! He thinks he is right. Deal with it.
Oops, I meant Job not Jonah regarding Satan's job as prosecutor in the heavenly court..
Isaiah is in the Old Testament. Christ had not been born yet, so He could hardly sit on the right hand of the Father, now could He?
And I have no clue what you mean about the use of the anti-christ statement.
Jesus is the Son of God. He doesn't mirror anyone. Where do you get your information? I am very curious about that.
Genesis is bunk anyway as it describes a Flat Earth and that God did not create water.
I don't recall the Book of Genesis describing the earth as flat and saying God did not create water.
Will you please tell me where you get this information from? Or are you making it up as you go along.
Anyway, Genesis refers to a serpent not Satan.
Uh, that would be like a metaphor?
Genesis implies a Flat Earth. Waters divided into a TOP HALF and a BOTTOM HALF with Heaven and earth between. Of course, now with Flat Earth discredited you Thumpers are trying to dissociate yourselves from that.
Isaiah says God is one and alone there is no Son.
I have already wrote that earlier in this thread. READ IT!.
Now you don't want to see a serpent. How convenient! When it it doesn't fit it is a metaphor when it fits it is literal. It is slimy.
1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is an an-ti-christ, that denieth the Father and the Son.
BTW Jesus and God are one. Can you grasp that or is that over your head too?
Isaioah 45:
5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:
7 I form the light, and create the darkness: I make peace, and create evil:I the Lord do all these things.
