@edgarblythe,
I know this is no substitute for good immigration law reform, however, I was pleasantly surprised to read this news this morning.

Quote:
PHOENIX/TAOS, N.M. (Reuters) - Members of an Arizona evangelical church are for the first time taking Central American asylum seekers into their homes, responding to record arrivals of migrant families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The predominantly white Central Christian Church, a Phoenix area "megachurch" had in the past assisted Muslim refugees. Church leaders wanted to help another group that lacked support and were portrayed as a threat in areas of the media and politics - asylum seekers.

Central Christian is among a group of around 10 churches, most of them Hispanic, taking in up to 500 migrants a week from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in greater Phoenix.

The migrants, mostly families, have been released into the United States to pursue their immigration cases in court. That flow could dwindle if the Trump administration is successful in its plans to make non-Mexican asylum seekers wait in Mexico while their claims are processed.

I don't take pleasure in calling out wayward Democrats, but somebody's got to do it. Too many people give them a total pass, no matter what they do. Which is why we no longer have a safety net, voters rights, etc. It is not enough, to not be a Republican in name, they ought to be for the people in deed, beyond the rhetoric.

C'mon, Sure you do.
And what do you see gained from all your "calling out"?

@snood,
Question my motive if you like; you won't get me riled or divert my purpose to shed light on a process too long perverted. There has to be constant course correction in every political endeavor or else corruption prevails.

@edgarblythe,
You can't see past your puffed up self righteousness, or you would be able to answer my simple question. What are you accomplishing by your "calling out"
"wayward democrats " on freaking SOCIAL MEDIA?

As I continually point out, I don't intend this as an arguing thread, but a gathering of information for the liberal viewpoint. This site gets thousands of views. Most of my threads get quite a few. It is my intent that those who are truly interested in what liberalism is about will find something useful here. That it irritates those who don't share my vision is of no concern to me.

@snood,
Did you ask the same question of Blatham for starting his Trump thread?

@edgarblythe,
The difference between that, and what you do is that Blatham can be reasoned with- the issues he raises can be discussed with him . It's a discussion forum. You set yourself up as some kind of crucially important town crier - some kind of halfass preacher of the Liberal Gospel to the ignorant masses...to "shine a light " in the darkness. You don't post those endless
'gotcha' articles to stimulate discussion. I guess you think you're serving some greater good - accomplishing something. But I notice you don't seem to be able to say what the hell that is.

If you are so willfully ignorant as to believe that I can't help you. I keep your posts on ignore, mostly, for that reason.

@edgarblythe,
It's not my ignorance that's on display here, it's your arrogance thinking you know so much that others here dont. And I'll just return your ignore rightbackatcha. You dont have much of use to say.

@snood,
I still remember when others of my threads offended you, totally different topics, none of it addressed directly to you. You attacked me so viciously they had to ban you a couple of times. This is just more of the same. You won't be missed.

From PDiddie's blog

... O’Rourke has voted for GOP bills that his fellow Democratic lawmakers said reinforced Republicans’ tax agenda, chipped away at the Affordable Care Act, weakened Wall Street regulations, boosted the fossil fuel industry and bolstered Trump’s immigration policy. Consumer, environmental, public health and civil rights organizations have cast legislation backed by O’Rourke as aiding big banks, undermining the fight against climate change and supporting Trump’s anti-immigrant program. During the previous administration, President Barack Obama’s White House issued statements slamming two GOP bills backed by the 46-year-old Democratic legislator.

O’Rourke’s votes for Republican tax, trade, health care, criminal justice and immigration-related legislation not only defied his national party, but also at times put him at odds even with a majority of Texas Democratic lawmakers in Congress. Such votes underscore his membership in the New Democrat Coalition, the faction of House Democrats most closely aligned with business interests.

Do you have a reliable or credible source to cite?
PDiddie's blog is not a actual source for news information.
I'm just saying I am not willing to take any of this to be credible or true coming from PDiddie's blog.
It appears that you are citing something that someone wrote on a blog site.
That 's not considered an actual news source.
In fact it may very well be a false made up news story.

All I am saying is to find a actual news source to cite, so that the rest of us can click on the link to read the story for ourselves.
