Sturgis, as a rule, I agree evryone should be out of the closet. But entertainers who might have their careers ruined by such a move have a legitimate reason to stay closeted.

I agree.

Take Pee Wee Herman. Fine actor. Best I've ever seen. Gets caught whacking off in a porn theatre, and now just jokes about poor Pee-Wee.

But yea, I think they may be afraid if they are openly gay, it may ruin whatever image they have, or think they have. Which may hurt their demand in certain types of films?

How can putting a label on an individual be a positive thing? Shouldn't you see a person for a person and a role for a role? Why is it human nature to lump everything into black and white. When I go to see a movie I personaly go to see a movie and not an actor, to leave the world bound by rules and stereotypes behind.
