Anyone else make "fry sauce" from mayo and ketchup?
Anyone else ever heard of fry sauce?
Okay, you gourmets ... if you don't use ketchup or fry sauce, what the heck do you dip your fries (okay, or tater tots) in?

a hamburger joint named Zips has it here in WA - but a lot of ther places have tarter sauce for fries
A popular sandwich in this region is made by taking two pieces of bread, one wheat and one rye, putting a generous supply of butter and peanut butter on each slice, add a good amount of ketchup and green olives, and you're good to go.
I had one about 15 minutes ago.
my dad eats dill pickles with peanutbutter - gross
Real, butter, buttercup. I'm with husker on that. Trans-fatty acids and hydrogenated oils..a heart attack in the making.
As for peanut butter and pickles, try it; you'll like it.
Gus, I love an olive and mayo sandwich. Hold the rye, though.
Hey, JL. Try fresh sliced tomatoes with them scrambled eggs. Believe it or not, the farmer's market was staged today Al Fresco. (where is that guy anyway)
Hey, we're on a roll--make that Parker house.
I actually dip french fries (when I eat them) in mustard.
Hollaindaise sauce is useful if you're making Eggs Benedict. What else is it good for?
I don't get the problem with mayo and pastrami. Do you all prefer mustard or nothing at all?
Ketchup is for hamburgers and fries.
People who put ketchup on hot dogs should be shot.
Also, if you have a recipe that calls for 1 Tbsp of tomato paste, and you don't have a squeeze tube of it, ketchup can be substituted (most of the time).
As a general rule, I never use tomato paste either. (Another thing that's not in my pantry.) Tomato sauce, yes. Stewed tomatoes, yes (although I prefer a fresh, diced tomato, parboiled). But tomato paste is fairly useless. You'll never find it in genuine Italian recipes, except in those written for cookbooks by non-Italian chefs.
Tomato paste is useless?
Where are you guys anyway?
cjhsa, I PREFER mustard with meats, but ketchup would not give me a stroke.
Try this, folks, and don't wretch at the mere thought of it. Try it.
Thinly sliced white onions, mayonaise and peanut butter (on your preferred bread). I loved this as a young adult, but I have not tried it for forty years. One day, just before I die...
I love peanut butter, with with onions and mayo?
My kids love peanut butter on bananas. I've got three little Elvises.

I love ketchup on hotdogs. I'm not from Chicago, I just live here.
My brother grew up on peanut butter, mayo and lettuce on Wonder Bread.
