I had my procedure done 3 months ago. Not my favorite experience, but not all that bad.
Reading this out loud to Mrs. SealPoet, who is due for hers. she figures she has to go when told, because I'll have to soon enough (grandfather died of colon cancer... not the way I intend to go)
You mean it is MANDATORY to have one of those? WHEN?! Waaaaaaaaah!
dlowan- Usually you should be checked at about 50, earlier if you have a first degree relative (parents, siblings) who has had colon cancer. If nothing is amiss, you can usually wait about 5 years before you have another one. But you still should get the occult blood stool test around once a year.
