Good morning, all. I am reminded - by the mere sight of Francis' ear - to tell you about the nifty french cafe Diane and I went to in Albuquerque a couple of days ago. She and Dys had taken me there on one of my earlier trips here, but this was the first visit since I've actually moved my whole kit and kaboodle to the southwest.

The cafe is called The French Corner. It is rather small, a combo of a bakery with good bread and pastries, and a cafe where you can order sandwiches, crepes, and salads. The last time we were there it was quite crowded; this time we had the whole place almost to ourselves. It is quite difficult, really, to sit there across from the glass counter filled with the diminishing selection of the days' output of incredible pastries. One stares at the coffee eclairs and napoleons as one savors one's crepe and salad - decisions, decisions. The only solution is to pick a few things and take some of them back home for later in the day, or the next morning's breakfast.

Good morning osso! Those pastries sound wonderful! In Louisiana, especially southern Louisiana it's beignets and coffee. Good, rich, coffee! Some find the chickory coffees bitter but I love them.

You really know Diane? That's so cool. I think she must be a really "real" person. If you would, please give her a hug from me and tell her I think she's pretty awesome?

Ms. Eva,

Do you think we could have Sophie whip some of these beignets up?

I hope you have a wonderful day everyone!

That looks wonderful, Osso!

All in all it seems like the settling-in process is going quite well...?

Yes quite, the ladies Osso and Diane spend their days shopping and fancy eating, waltzing out the door each morning telling the dys "be back soon." I tend to the dogs and fred. Sometimes they bring home left-overs.
