@FOUND SOUL,
Such a clever boy! <scritch, scritch>

Oh look, he's leading us into the kitchen. Come to think of it, I'm hungry, too. Wonder if there's anything left in the refrigerators?

@Eva,
Do you "both" realise what time it is? Eating at this time of the night is no good for you Smile

Hey, we could maybe turn some music on, have a glass of wine and do some baking, call everyone tomorrow for an theme night ? Maybe 1800' style around the long table dinner experience? Ask them to dress up as well, maidens, knights and the like, just a cap for Bigsy Wink Great, look at him the thought I said a night cap !!!

@FOUND SOUL,
How about a Roaring '20s party? Lots of bubbly, peacock feathers, short dresses and jazz? What do you think?

(Off to look for menu items...)

@Eva,
I've attended such a party and it was so much fun!! Nothing like good friends, good conversation, and good wine.

@ossobuco,
Can I dance bare foot? Well if I drink to much maybe at number 12, no 19, I'll be dancing with no shoes Smile 1920's.. LOVE the idea. Actually did that at another Restaurant as a theme night, many, many, years ago, I'll maybe even post a picture Wink And, people can go to the Goodwill store it will cost nothing to dress up, love it.

Finger food - oh can I join in and create a couple of dishes please?

@Eva,
This was a while ago when I lived in San Francisco. The women wore flapper dresses and cool wigs. The men wore black and white. It wasn't a huge party ( about 9 couples in all. We had a wonderful meal, danced and had plenty of good wine and conversation . We ended playing trivia until it was daylight. This was perhaps the most memorable party I've ever attended.

@FOUND SOUL,
Of course you can! I can't wait to see what kind of dishes you'll make! Feel free to use our kitchen. I know a couple of recent grads from a culinary school nearby, and I'll ask them to come help with prep work, etc. I don't want you to spend all your time in the kitchen!

Goodwill? I have an even better idea. I've opened an account at Google Images' "Vintage 1920s Evening Dress" Shop. Everyone can go there and choose something fabulous. I dropped by there earlier today, and I could hardly believe my eyes. Where to start!!! I will have to check around for a suitable (!) source for our gentlemen.

I do hope everyone will post pictures of what they're wearing...

Having to sample the wine before it’s poured.

"NO WAY!" is right!!!

The hired help wanted to serve that, you say? Hmpf. Somebody just lost a job, I say.

The shrimp on skewers looks yummy. What's in it?

@Eva,
Doesn't look like anyone else likes them no one has asked for any? Shocked

Awesome idea, see the glass? Ice on the bottom even if it melts that's ok, prawns are still safe. Radish, orange, lime and parsley though coriander would go well as well, well Smile

They did want to serve that, as cake afterwards. I can't point fingers though as to who it was Smile

@FOUND SOUL,
You're being very witty tonight!

Uh oh. I think Bigsy just ate your prawns. (We call the huge ones "prawns" and the small and regular sized ones "shrimp.") Would you look at that ... He's trying to hide the evidence. He just pushed two tails under the buffet table!
