I was on yesterday. I saw sozobe enter the room. She saw my name and fled in terror. I think she's afraid to play me.

Actually it's even worse. Soz confided in me that she's terrified to use the letters g-u-s on any turn. GUST,
MAGUS even GUSSET are all verboten.

Hey they did some kind of over-haul over at scrabble. One of the things that is different is that I can play computers now!

I know! I just played myrrhs, so fun. Fun because the computers seem to have lousy defensive strategy -- open up all kinds of things!! :-D

Soz just beat me 339 to 334 - I thought I had her, but she pulled ahead in the last couple rounds!

Nope, that was my original name, but I changed it to Gustav.

Sozlet was hammering out messages to littlek (did you get those, littlek?) and somehow made the computer crash. :-? So I lost a bunch of time tending to that and not sure if I'll have time for another game tonight -- hope so.

littlek seems to be my closest match of anyone -- seems like we're always ending up with really close games. (I think last game was the other way round, really close and she won.)

I forgot! I made VAGINA out of VAGI last round against the puter. Heh.

poorpuppy is all the way up to a rating of 119 as of Saturday night.
ehBeth plays me once in awhile; she always wins, of course, but I enjoy the chatting. I can never seem to hook up with sozobe or niteowl. They seem to be out of my league. I've lost to gus once or twice.
But I do keep playing. There is a lady from NYC who evidentally has me on her buddies list She wins against me pretty regularly. I've invited her to A2K but she has always declined. No, she says, I'm not interested in anything more than an occasional game of scrabble...with poorpuppy. There is a story there waiting to be written.
My rating tonight jumped a bunch and I feel badly about that. I won a couple of games against some nice people (the folks who rank below about 500 have all, in my experience, been really nice people from all over the world). But I was playing earlier tonight against someone who called herself Hiawatha (from Canada...Sas...which I won't even try to spell). I was winning but then my computer did some wierd things and I wasn't able to keep playing...but still I won the game, and the points.
I think, I hope, I was able to get a message to her to the effect that it was not done on purpose.

what's an anagrammer?

A little machine which you can plug letters into and which will report all possible words made from those letters.

How Beth and niteowl could know the player was using one is beyond me.

Odd. I matched someone who immediately resigned, giving me a bump up it my meager rating. Why would they do that unless I was gus, who I am not.
