Burning Al Fanken at the stake; how stupid is that?

This has got to be the stupidest political move in recent history. Al Franken is a strong, well-known, progressive figure in a competitive seat. The Democrats are giving up incumbency in a Senate seat that could easily be lost... a may be the seat that decides the Senate. Democrats are in a bubble... they need to realize that self-righteousness doesn't win election.

Trump is president. Roy Moore will likely join the Senate. Conyers, and Franken are out. When are Democrats going to figure out that moral rectitude isn't working for them.

We don't need perverts in politics ( ir anywhere else) but especially from those so privileged.

Now, I don't know if Franken fits the hard-core pervert definition, or he's just an ego-maniac a$$hole. Connors is a pervert and Moore was in his younger days.

@PUNKEY,
Taking out Al Franken as a "pervert" opens the seat up to a Republican candidate. The Democrats risk losing a seat where they had the power incumbency.

Here's the question Punkey: It is certainly a possibility that Michelle Bachmann can win this Senate seat. If removing Al Franken from this seat means that Michelle Bachmann becomes the Junior Senator from Minnesota, will you still think that getting rid of the "pervert" was worth it? Bachmann has never been accused of anything but upstanding behavior.

(Didn't it used to be the conservatives who were obsessed with getting rid of the "perverts"?).
