Pdawg! Have you been seen about this at all yet? I mean when it happened before? Scary!

dlowan, my parents have already helped.

It's the dry, dry cold that causes the bits of blood. And I've been out in the dry, dry cold quite a bit of late (bad bus service, no free parking).

bullshit! You had better speak clearly to your doctor about what is happening.

I'm all for talking to the doctor, and soon (does "next week" mean "Monday"?) but I've had that same thing (in Madison for that matter, but not only in Madison). It's when I've been coughing and coughing and my throat's raw and a bit torn up. The dry cold definitely contributes to that.

But I don't want that to cancel out the "talk to your doc" chorus, I do agree.

I'd be more concerned if people around me weren't having similar symptoms over similar timetables. I know at least one person has gone to get checked out and came back with the nondiagnosis "bronchitis."

In the mean time, the expectorant and bouts under a sheet with the humidifier have been helping clear things out.

Too true, re the stress.

At the school we've had some sort of bug going around (and around and around) that flares up every time a lot of people are under stress (surgery days, exams, etc.).

I'm sick as a dog now (the same old hacking, a little bit of blood occasionally, deep, productive cough). Every time I lose a lot of sleep over two or three consecutive days. 4th time since last summer.

We're such a model of disease outbreaks in stressed, crowded populations.

Oh god...how that "productive cough" thing brings back winters of horror when I worked in a hospital, being forced to go to the "spit pit", or respiratory ward, where all the poor geezers who had smoked a lot ended up with "fruity productive coughs".....oh the horror....

Ack!

So, the hand washing lecture DID not impress upon young putzacola. I couldn't have been more clear. He obviously had a problem with my request even though he said he didn't. Hasn't washed his hands since then so far as I know.

For fear of cooking superbugs in my kitchen, as dlowan suggested, I am now using a cloth (or sleeve) to open all cabinets, drawers, fridge, water pitcher, etc.

Ears seem to be filling back up.

nah, I saw him rinse his hands briefly....

....of course that was AFTER his dinner, when he was done with kitchen.

oh well. i'm still amazed that I didn't get sick so far, with you being sick for so long and now the Putz. That's very suspicious, even unsettling!

Oh, he rinses, now and then - usually when done with the knobs and handles. Makes me wonder if he uses soap when in the bathroom.

Better not to imagine, probably.

It's not time for the knife in the dark, and the big barbeque?

Like in "Fried Green Tomatoes"?

Why don't you play some pranks on him? Have at least a little bit of
fun for all the misery he's put you through.

Get green paintballs and put them in the shower head. They dissolve
with the hot water very nicely. Mix his shampoo with food coloring, and
pour some liquid garlic in his shower gel.

Cut holes in the underwear he leaves in the bathroom, and staple his
socks together.

Don't get mad, get even! Twisted Evil

He doesn't leave clothes in the bathroom. Well, he did once, but removed them quickly. He does leave his little plantain sling in there. Hmmm..... chili pepper powder?

Hmmm......

Hehe, that would be exceptionally rewarding to imagine he's doused
in hot chili pepper powder.

I've been thinking about this. I have a liquid soap sitting on the side of the sink in the bathroom. There is no other soap except for the soap we each have in the shower. Unless he has some hidden soap somewhere, I think he doesn't wash his hands after using the toilet. He doesn't seem to use my soap. I turned the pump of the soap the other way around to see if it is turned after he uses the bathroom...........
