Danon, the intensity of the storm for the past three days worrisome - but thanking God utilities haven't been interruped. Checking storm damage tomorrow if weather forcasting clearing <w/ sunshine> correct.

Mz Bella hasn't returned home since yesterday afternoon though. Sad

Uh-oh. Warm thoughts for Mz.Bella and hopefully this weather will let up. I'm glad the utilities are still holding. brrrrrrrrrrrrr

I've been reading about La Conchita and southern CA... such sad stories of mudslides and flooding. This seems like it is going to be a hard winter.

Piffka, we expect storms in Northern California, but So. CA? Not with the intensity those folks are getting hit with. La Conchita situation sad, not only can't the ground absorb tons of rain, the areas affected by last summers forest fires devastating.

Just received a small amount of snow, then more rain with temps beginning to plummet again. Gosh, worried about Mz. Bella

Everyone

I think anita b is a member of this group of if not, that some of you know her.

Anyhow, her son has written a few of us and asked that we let everyone know that anita b required some emergency surgery and is back in the hospital again. He hopes she will be able to return home in 10-14 days, as do we all.

[email protected] is the address at the hospital. Please put Anita Bentley in the subject line if you want to send her your best wishes for a speedy recovery. Whether she is up for this yet, I don't know, but all our thoughts meant a lot to her the last time.

Thanks,
Joan Lee

Thanks from me too, JoanLee, and hi everyone else - lost track of thread.

Here's the complete message from Anita's son:
_______________________________________________
Hi Helen of Troy :

Mom went into the University hospital last evening and had an emergency
operation. The surgeon told us it went very well and that they were
able to do the repair and hope that without complications she might be
able to return home in about 10-14 days (God willing).

Please keep her in your prayer for a swift and complication-free
recovery. The best news we got on arrival of course was that she had
survived the surgery... that was not assured.

God Bless you all and do me the favour of informing all of her friends
that she is again in the hospital. Sorry for the bad news.

Stuart

The address at the University of Alberta Hospital is

[email protected]
and just put her name in the subject line. She does not have a room
number yet but it will get to her.

Yep Piff, she returned yesterday evening! Something or someone must have fightened her. When I went over to pick her up, she bolted Confused
Bell still a feral cat even though she's been with my family of felines since birth - so I was patient and after about an hour, the herd urged her inside the house. She still acted skittish though for the rest of the evening.

Today she's her sweet Bella face self again... Very Happy

Howdy Hoft! Good seeing your posts again!
