Marston's Oyster Stout

Bottle conditioned. Slightly gassy beer that definitely improves if served at room temperature. Rich malty flavour with a hint of marzipan, though perhaps a little thin for a stout. The short finish leaves a light, warm and smoky aftertaste on the palate. Unfortunately, this is not as nice as we remember it.
Oyster stouts originally had oysters, or oyster shell, in the ingredients (supposedly to make the stout even healthier for you). Today, an 'oyster' stout is an alternative to Champagne as a mollusc accompaniment.
Steinlager is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.
