Anybody (besides me) tried beers from Unibroue of Chambly, Quebec?
Thomas - I sure hope it wasn't #4! I hope I didn't hog any beer. There were several ales here. Was the writing on the bottle funny? (I think the whole point about beer on pancakes is that fruity beer doesn't really work for anything - I quite agree)
Farmer - I don't think I've tried Chesterfield Ale, but you never know! I can't name all the beers I have tried.
George, I've seen the beers from Chambly. But, I don't think I've tried one.

Just teasing -- it wasn't. And yes, the writing on the bottle was funny.
And, was it a large bottle?
Pretty large -- from memory, I'd say about 24 fluid ounces.
That would pretty much have to be the Arrogant Bastard Ale. Does this ring a bell? (I captured the page!):
Yes! And I think the bottle had exactly the same text on it.
Heheee, "perhaps you're mouthing the words as you read this". Gotcha! Yes, this was definitely the text, I remember that one.
I loved that text the first time I saw it. And the beer really stands up to the hype.
I'll be sure to try it the next time I'm in Boston. Actually, I'll probably be in Chelmsford MA either in the middle or the end of July. If you're interested, I could make a detour through Cambridge and swap some Yuenglings Chesterfield Ale for some Arrogant Bastard with you.
What on earth will you be in Chelmsford for?!? Mid-July..... Mid July could work. But, finding the ABA is tricky even around here.

My company has a site in Chelmsford, and I'll probably have to attend a few meetings there. And no pressure about the ABA -- I would be willing to drink other brands of beer with you, too.
We'll talk as that date gets closer. Meanwhile.... I wonder if Chelmsford has changed in the last 15 years.

I couldn't tell -- it'll be the first time I get there. What was it like 15 years ago?
Ummm, sort of devoid of anything that cultural or outside the status quo. It was solid suburb, strip malls, white people and a drive in. That's sort of how I remember it.
Sounds as if the sightseeing program there is going to be short, then. But my company's office buildings in America all seem to be bland and generic. So they fit in nicely with cities like Chelmsford.
I never knew it came under missile attack

I'm in Chelmsford (the one in Massachusetts) even as we speak.
Er, write.
Well this is very confusing. Are you in Stoneham or Chelmsford?
I live in Stoneham.
I work in Chelmsford.
