I filled in some of my profile.
But I'll have to think about the 'member description'.
I have no clue what to write. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I filled in mine when I joined (or a bit after) but my circumstances kept changing .... & it seemed to be always out of date ... so I deleted the lot!
Besides, folk can read a person's posts to get to know them, if they care to.

The same thing happened to me, msolga. I started out with a full profile. As things changed, I deleted what was no longer relevant until there was nothing left.

I filled in my profile as soon as I joined A2K. Actually, it was the same profile that I had used on Abuzz, with a minor addendum. It suits me, and I see no reason to change it.

The people who know me don't have to read my profile. I think that my views come out, loud and clear. I leave it mostly for the newbies, who don't know me.

Of course i use my original name in all the forums.

Time to revive this thread by Phoenix! The new a2k has, according to Craven, new capabilities for creativity in contrast to the old a2k profile set up - with BBCode, we can import photos, add links, and otherwise use the code elements.

@ossobuco,
osso- Thanks for the "retread". It got me to thinking that I have not changed my profile in YEARS. I hope that does not indicate some stagnation on my part. Maybe I will think up some clever update..................................when I get around to it! Laughing

@fishin,
Wow fishin' - that's...that's...

it's hogwash isn't it? Wink But very entertaining.

I've never really read anyone's profile before...until today. Kind of have a feel for people by what they post.

Funny. I wanted to remain mysterious, when I first joined Abuzz, (which was my first internet forum) many moons ago. I didn't even want people to know my gender, my age, my marital status, etc. I wanted them to respond to my words, without any preconcieved notions.

Over time though, as I shared more and more of myself, I found that remaining "mysterious" became very constricting, so, little by little, I started to share more of myself with the forum. By the time A2K came into existence, I was pretty open.

Now Gus has taken the concept of mysterious, and honed it into a fine art. I know very little of him, even though we have been interacting for years.

@Phoenix32890,
Actually I am just being a smart a$$. I simply am too lazy to bother (at least right now) - I'll consider what the h*ll I'll write later.
