My cousins wife is having a baby in the morning and since I'll be the Godmother, I'm so excited. I'm worried at the same time since they are taking the baby 3 weeks early because they found that my cousins wife has a brain tumor. She is going to have brain surgery a few days after they take the baby, so as happy of an occasion this is, it's also a very devistating one. All prayers are surely welcome for Chantal (my cousins wife), and their precious baby.
I used to be a Godmother, until the lucky couple found out I was a guy. It's hard to tell since I'm so blubbery and pink.
I asked if I could be the Godfather instead, but by that point they were kind of grossed out with me... which I guess is partly another story. Only partly.
Technically it is tomorrow morning now, tis Monday here don't you know.
I find that odd... so must insist on telling everybody...
Anyway,
Congratulations Montana! All the best for the baby and mother, I hope she recovers.
LOL Scoats. You are weird sometimes.

Thanks. It's 10 pm Sunday here, so the baby will come on our monday ;-)
Montana--
You and your godchild will be in my thoughts. I'm not an expert on brain tumors, but from what I do know I'd guess that there is some home that a quick operation will remove most of the inconvenient tissue.
Are there other children in the family? Or will you godchild be the first?
Knowing you are Queen of Your Kitchen in Canada, I assume you'll be making at least one casserole?
Hold your dominion.

Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. They have one other child and she's 6 years old and a real doll. She is the smartest 6 year old I've ever known. She is very excited about her new brother or sister to be and I know she will be very helpful to mom and dad in helping with new baby. Chantals mom is taking a leave from her job to help with the kids for as long as they need and they will stay with her for awhile and since she's a tremendous cook as well, they'll all be eating well ;-)
Montana--
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Montana, I wish the very best for both baby and mom. And a hearty congratulations to you, Godmother! I'll keep you all close in my thoughts over the next few days of joy and uncertainty. I know the best is yet to come for everyone.
Thank you very much Lady J. Mom and baby can use all the good thoughts they can get. The baby will be delivered in about 6 hours and I'll keep you all posted on how things are going with them. I'm very torn with emotion right now, being both excited and worried at the same time.
I can understand completely. When this is all over and behind you, we'll get James to fetch the horses and go for a good long ride.
Sounds like a plan. I'll be needing a good James when this is over, oh.... um... I mean a good ride :-D
Lol! Well, the
are synonymous, aren't they? Sweet dreams, girlfriend and happy baby day to you all!
Thanks Lady J. Nighty night.
I almost forgot to come back to report the good news. I am the proud godmom of a bouncing baby boy named Alex. I heard the news from my uncle since I can only assume that my cousin is very busy. I haven't seen him yet, but I may see him this weekend. I'm not sure of his exact weight, but it's 6 pounds and something ounces :-D
Cheers
Congratulations on being Alex's godmother, Montana!
Please keep us posted about Chantal's surgery. She and her family will be in my thoughts.
Congratulations to you and to Alex.
Chantal will be in my thoughts. Hold your dominion.
Congratulations Montana, I hope everything turns out for the best.
I never had a Godmother. I had a Godfather, and he was gay. So I guess he was both.
Thanks you guys. I'm very excited that Alex is in good health and am now very concerned about Chantal. She needs lots of prayers and good thoughts, so keep em coming.

That's cool. I never saw much of my godparents. They sent me $20 every Christmas and my godmother had the nerve to tell people that they bought all my cloths because my mom was poor, which is a complete lie. They never ever bought me so much as one piece of clothing.
Well, I won't be one of those godmothers ;-)
Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Been very busy. My new godson was delivered with no complications and Chantal had her surgery that also went well. She's still in intensive care, but is expected to have a full recovery. Baby Alex is still in the hospital and I probably won't hear more news for another week or so since my cousin has been busy.
