Who will be next to move to Albuquerque? Any volunteers? Soon there will be enough A2Kers in ABQ to start a riot.

Do those aspirants generally have to do housekeeping before moving or are there exemptions?

No housekeeping allowed--all we care about are the bird and the dog. Umm, I don't think Bob is leaving the keys to the Porsche, shall I find them for you osso???

BBB, if a2kers like osso join those of us already in Albuquerque, this will become a town notorious for liberals--a very good thing.

So how about it, Walter? A little desert air for you?

Dys and Diane's hotel- I think this is a puzzle to rank with the Da Vinci Code.

I am wondering whether it is likely that there is a hotel called Paddinging Court. (tho' I haven't looked for it yet)

(ready to go Embarrassed if I am wrong)

Looks like I may have to travel during that weekend (to a conf in HK) so may not be able to make it.

Still being debated, so it is not certain as yet.

That would indeed be most bogus, as Bill & Ted used to say. Here's hoping you can make it, G.

Yes please, I liked it very much and have always wanted to see the balloons in action!! How much would a 3-bed house with pool cost?

osso, Will do; it seems Malta has many historical sites with archaeological ruins. It should be an interesting trip; sorta reminds me of Peru where they have built structures with huge rocks. I'll send you a couple of the "better" ones when I get back

CI....You will find Malta very interesting, but I will give you one very important tip. If you go swimming, do not under any circumstances swallow any seawater. This is the quickest way to get the "Malta dog" and you will spend your holiday sitting on the loo. Also bottled, sealed, brand names only mineral water.
You must go to Gozo while you are there, and if you do, hire a car which will allow you to cover the island in a day. A must visit on Gozo is Xeri's grotto (pronounced sherries). A man was putting a new floor in his kitchen one day and a hole appeared. It turned out to be an underground network of caves.
On Malta itself, things to see include the Hypogeum, the Victoria line and prehistoric cart tracks.
When are you going? If you are interested, I know one of the main car hire dealers on the Island and could get his address for you.
If I am too late....I hope you have/had a great time.

Give them my telephone number, so that I can do some straight talking!

(Hoping, you can make it!)

I'm now a little confused - I thought the plan was to meet on Sunday at Penderell's Oak at around 12:30.

I am still free for Saturday as well but I don't think I'll manage a 2 day meeting!

Please advise

Well, I think those, who want can certainly 'meet' to do some things together - I agree that we planned the official meeting on Sunday at Penderell's Oak at 12:30.

OK - I'll keep the Sunday appointment in my diary.

I'll try to meet up at another time, if I can. Smile

Lord Elpuss, I am leaving on Friday, April 15, so I'd like to have the name, address (email too) and telephone number of the car hire dealer. What is the cost of a day to Gozo? The tour company offers an optional tour, but I hate to travel with 50 people on a bus - if you know what I mean. Wink I've made a hard copy of your post to make sure I don't miss anything. btw, I always drink bottled water when I travel, and usually consume the local beer if they have it. Thanks for the suggestions.
