I actually just thought of this, I don't care that I'm beating a dead horse.

Ocsoftballer, you mentioned something about reflex speed major leaguers don't have? While that is absolutely ridiculous in itself, have you ever heard of BAT SPEED?

A major leaguers bat speed is extremely higher than a female softball player's, which obviously allows them to wait on pitches longer, and hit faster pitching. Watch a Barry Bonds at bat, then point out a chick that can duplicate him. Reason why? For one they're men, so they're naturally stronger.

You'll never see a female major league player. I'm 110% sure of that .

Watching Bonds bat is a real treat. I went to a game at SBC Park this past summer, what a great ballpark. Bonds didn't play, but he pinch hit in the 8th. I was standing in right field by McCovey Cove, waiting for the ball to go over my head. Bonds popped out, which so confused the base runner (What? No homer?), that he got picked off on a bonehead base running mistake.

I'd pay $$ just to watch Bonds take batting practice. Not a ton of $$, but still.

Griffey Jr. has a pretty swing too. And one of the Boston boys, Manny Ramirez.

And to think that a guy with one of the ugliest swings ever seen outside of a little league diamond owns the career hits record.

First of, in softball the pitcher is only 40ft. away from the batter. in baseball how faraway is it? what like 70-80 feet away. farther away. of course you have the ability to wait on the ball its farther away.

as stated above it is 60 ft mound to plate.. and when it comes down to a ratio of speeds : distance... it is still harder to hit a MLB piture then a pro softball pitcher... sorry sweet heart... you live in a fantasy world

The Hockey Song (Smith, James, Good and Phillips) ©1992

Performed & written by Jughead.

So there I was, over in Paris
Eating wine and drinking cheese
And this guy comes up to me and he says
" Where are you from?"
Well, I says "Yeah, I'm from Canada"
And he says "Zoot Allure, mon Dieu, you are from Canada? Do you play hockey?"
And I says "Do I play hockey?

Chorus
Well, I play Air hockey, Ball hockey, Barn Hockey, Bubble Hockey, Field hockey,
Floor hockey, Ice hockey, Kitchen hockey, Road hockey,Roller hockey, Table hockey, Twist hockey
And I play hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey,
hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey all the time!
Take shots!

So there I was way out in California
And this guy comes up to me and he says
" Where are you from dude?"
Well, I says "Yeah, I'm from Canada"
And he says "Wow! Where are you from dude?"
And I says "Look I'm from Canada"
And he says "Wow. If you're from Canada? Do you like, play hockey?"
And I says "Do I play hockey?

Chorus

So there I was way down under in Australia
And this guy comes up to me and he says
" Where are you from?"
Well, I says "Yeah, I'm from Canada"
And he says "Do right, honey child. If you're from Canada? Do you play hockey?"
And I says "Do I play hockey?

Chorus

He shoots. He scores!
