The idea of levelling Luxembourg just might make sense to some of our fellow posters. Small country with weak military. Plus it would make France plenty nervous.
Speaking of which, it may be time for those who hate the French to change their tune. Seems I read that Bush is now ready to make nice to our former Euro allies...

Well, he has to start being nice to them, D'artagnan, doesn't he? The US is going to need as much financial help as it can to fix the mess that's been created in Iraq. It's going to cost a fortune to repair the damage.

We could always use the loot from Luxembourg to help finance a portion of our burgeoning deficit. Hey, that's a start, right?

You have a point there, Steppenwolf! The only problem though, would be the necessity to then reconstruct Luxenbourg! Then some other country would would have to be "liberated" to achieve that! :wink:

Hmmm... Perhaps we could avoid some of these problems if we engaged in half-hearted reconstruction and then moved on to the next liberation. We'll call it Operation Afghanistan/Iraq - wait a second, have I already been beaten to the punch?
