You mean thousands have YET to be butchered.

I remember how helpful France and Germany were in Iraq considering their actions relative to the corrupt Oil for Food program.

Sorry pal, all this is, is a stall tactic by Iraq. My opinion of course.

No. My point was that crowing about killing a couple of Saddam's sons is kind of pathetic. Sure they deserved justice, but killing them is hardly a military achievement.

Nor is leveling Falluja, our current military effort. Do you really think this is gonna stop the terrorists?

I second what you have said here. I might add, these Republicans are savages.

of course it is, why I remember clearly Custer tellin his troops as they rode up the hills "Don't take any prisoners, just kill them where they stand"

Nope, but it will remove 1200+ of them as well as their weapons, ammo and hiding places. It will definitly put a hitch in their getalong.

seems their gitalong gotalong to other locales, because we (oh yeah and the Iraqi forces) abandoned security elsewhere so we could level the city where the insurgents used to be. makes sense to me.

Well, really, any place that seems sort of "foreign", where the locals look sort of swarthy & sinister & aren't predominantly Christian, that has a source of oil to be exploited & displays a disrespectful attitude toward the US would be fine. Must be lots of places that fit the bill!

Huh. Seems to me that taking 6000 Marines and clearing Falluja is hardly a dent in the 120,000 strong military force we have there. Mosul is being de-insurgencied even as we speak as are many other locations where they are trying to oppose a free Iraq.

No, that's what you mean...you either don't realize it, refuse to admit it, or probably more accurate, a bit of both.......

If I meant that, I would say that. Your projection of what you think the government may or may not want is ridiculously naive.

I always loved this Randy Newman song. It seems weirdly apt right now:

Political Science

No one likes us - I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens

We give them money - but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us - so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them

Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us

We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too

Boom goes London and boom Paree
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me

They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

Has anyone considered Chad? Or Burkina Faso?

I think we could move in there and kill the entire population in a weekend. Then we'd have all that sand for our kids' playgrounds.

Both were examined and found wanting. Sand wasn't quite fine enough for our kidlets' castle-building.

Keep searching.

If the US ever wants to top the GDP per capita list, we must get rid of Luxembourg. Besides, it's just so small and helpless.
