LOL! I believe he may be planning a southwards infiltration, Brand X - perhaps Australia might be safer?

Just a question from a completely ignorant American: why is it that these cricket matches seem to go on for days? Is it that you can't finish things in a decently short period of time or is it that you have so much time to squander you waste it on tests which go on forever?

Joe - we shall await input from our cricketing folk - but, put shortly, the game is designed to be played over several days...

Aha! So that's where Wilso kept disappearing to!

A long day's cricket in the sun, to see India give us a bad time Sad . Australia - world champions? - not at this showing! It's not over yet - but nothing to be optimistic about!

Still - a day at the cricket beats a day at work!

Blimey, never happy, these sporting folk!

Nothing but moans in the past about short tests, walkovers by Oz, dull, why no team who can fight us - now, we have a worthy adversary again - and still the moans!

at least I didn't get sunburnt!

These boys - they don't know the value of a long sleeved white linen shirt on days like this!

You're right, of course - for ages we've been grizzling about lack of opposition, and now we have some. It was probably the best day so far!

Indeed - I heard Adelaide was great, too.

Be great if it is India's turn for domination in cricket, no?

To use Margo's exact words, test cricket's too long for the five minute attention span and instant gratification requirements of most Americans. That's why we also have what's called "one day" cricket.

That was a rather churlish answer to what I think was simply a teasing question, Wilso. I could be wrong, but I do not think Joe had any intent to insult.

Then again, perhaps you are simply teasing in return!
