Cowdoc,

In the Deviant of the Week race, Dragon and El-diablo topped the list with a rating of 21 each. A bunch of the rest of us came in between 11 and 5. Much closer to the consensus were Fbaezer, Lion and Ray.
El-diablo got hosed in two out of three games on Saturday; Dragon and George in one game each. The rest of us are in fine fettle.

Chewing tobacco is definitely an, um, acquired taste. I tried it...once. And threw up for hours. In certain professions, such as driving an 18-wheeler or pregging cows, it is the alternative to taking your hands away from the job at hand in order to light up a cigarette.

Back around 4:30. -rjb-

Through the 11 games completed thus far, I have Cowdoc, Jpinmilw and Panzade at 9-2. Johnboy. Fbaezer, Lion and Ray are at 8-3. At 7-4 are Region and George. Dragon is at 6-5 and El-diablo is under water at 5-6.

I knew we were in trouble when both of the "experts" here, Cowdoc and Panzade, picked Houston. Region gets a nod for picking Indy to lose.

He's big. He's bad. He's Jpinmilw. And he looks likes he is going to be this week's winner. He is at 12-2 (He alone picked Philly). Several others are at 10-4. By my calculation, know one can catch up with him regardless of the outcome of the night games. Well done, dude.

Way to go jpn! I just couldn't pick against Indy. And my Redskins scalped the Cowboys so I'm a happy loser today.

Good job, jpinmilw! I guess it's time to say that I picked with my heart instead of my head this week, and it just wasn't the time to do that! ;-)

Dang... if it weren't for those darn Colts I'd have done even better. Oh well, a win is a win and since they are few and far between this season I'll take it.

Fantasy football? I never took the time to figure out how that works.

Before I recap Week #14, this announcement: This coming weekend there are THIRTEEN GAMES ON SATURDAY. DECEMBER 24TH; TWO ON THE 25TH, AND ONE ON MONDAY THE 26TH.
I appreciate that yall may have other plans, including travel, that could start kicking in real soon. I am in the retail business and most of our customers are women...until the last three days before Christmas. Guys suddenly notice that there is this woman he lives with, and there are kids running around the house. And they all expect him to buy presents. Panic sets in. Anyway, the first game is at 1 pm on Saturday, Christmas Eve.

So Jpinmilwaukee rules in Week 14, finishing at (14-2). The best picker amongst the ESPN Experts also was at 14-2; oddly their two miscues were in different games. There was no need to look at the tiebreaker last night (god, was that an awful game) as the best that Panzade and Ray could muster was a record of (12-4). At (11-5) were Johnboy, Fbaezer, Liontamerx and Cowdoc (a real heart-breaker there). Region and George came in (10-6) as did El-diablo. He was, as I recall, the Deviant of the Week and started off badly but finished strong. Good recovery. Alas, Dragon had a long weekend, and limped in at (8-8). Child did not play, again; opened my nagging pm, but did not respond. Sigh.

JPinmilw with two weekly wins, joins Region (week 1 and 2), Child (weeks 4 and 7) and Cowdoc (weeks 5 and 12).

On the cumulative Wns Minus Losses scoreboard, I show:
Cowdoc (84), Liontamerx (76), Panzade (71), Johnboy (68), Region (66),
Fbaezer (58), El-diablo (51), Jpinmilw and George (50), Child (44), Dragon (40) and Ray leaping forward to (22). As a group, we were mediocre.

Week #15 coming up in a bit. REMEMBER, THE DEADLINE IS 1RazzM ON CHRISTMAS EVE. Thanks for trying to make participating part of your plans. -johnboy

Here is the schedule for Week #15:
1 PM ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24th:
NY Giants (10-4 for the season) @ Washington (8-6) - A division game
Dallas (8-6) @ Carolina (10-4)
Atlanta (8-6) @ Tampa Bay (9-5) - A division game
San Francisco (2-12) @ St Louis (5-9)
Tennessee (4-10) @ Miami (7-7)
Detroit (4-10) @ New Orleans (3-11)
Buffalo (4-10) @ Cincinnati (11-3)
Jacksonville (10-4) @ Houston (2-12)
Pittsburgh (9-5) @ Cleveland (5-9)
San Diego (9-5) @ Kansas City (8-6)
4 PM:
Philadelphia (6-8) @ Arizona (4-10)
Indianapolis (13-1) @ Seattle (12-2)
Oakland (4-10) @ Denver (11-3)
5 PM SUNDAY:
Chicago (10-4) @ Green Bay (3-11)
8:30 PM SUNDAY:
Minnesota (8-6) @ Baltimore (5-9)
9 PM MONDAY:
New England (9-5) @ NY Jets (3-11) - A division game

16 games, with a deadline of 1 pm on Christmas Eve.
According to ESPN, Denver has clinched a playoff berth. Cincy, NE and Seatlle have wrapped up a Division title and I believe Indy has a Division title and home field advantage (I forgot to write that down, so I may be wrong). Apparently that could affect how hard they play this week. The fate of my Steelers depends on their winning and something else happening, but it is too confusing for ... johnboy.

(ps) If we don't get a chance to say this to each other between now and Sunday, Merry Christmas to yall. Or Season's Greetings if that is more politically correct. Or just have a nice, long weekend. We may get snow in the mountains of Virginia on Sunday. That would be nice.
