There seem to be a number of us who think Indy
will be in "don't get the big guy hurt now" mode.

Going undefeated in the regular season is, um, a rare feat. This could be Indy's week to face that reality.
Cowdoc, Charlottesville and DC are only 100 miles apart but we get totally different weather systems, and at this time of year we can go from 20 degrees on one day to 60 on another. On Monday when I got up at 6 am the forecast was for 3-5 inches of snow; by 8 am it was 5-7 and by 10 am it was 7-10 inches. We ended up with maybe two inches, none of which stuck to the roads. The storm had moved to the east by about 50 miles and had produced only a little rain. Oops. They are trying again with a new storm scheduled for tomorrow night. I don't know the forecast for Monday.

Thanks, johnboy. It sounds a lot more comfortable than here. It was 20 below this morning, and I have to go preg check 250 head tomorrow. Oh, well, at least I know for a fact it'll be 100 degrees inside every one of the cows!

Actually, it could have been worse. Granted, it was -24 when we started, but it warmed up to almost zero by afternoon.

A mere half-hour until kick-off and I seem to be missing Panzade and Child of Light.

Johnboy is sad. Panzade and Child of Light failed to join in this week. Johnboy thought he had yall trained.
In the Deviant of the Week category, most of the ten of us are thinking pretty much the same way (with ratings from 0 to 14-George- to 18-Dragon). The exception is El-diablo with a rating of 34. He, coming off his nice win last week, is in the minority on 6 of the 16 games.
See yall around 4:30 with the early game tally.

Through the early eight games, none of us is looking too bright. Cowdoc is at 6-2 and the rest of us are a game or two behind.

Yes, indeed, El-diablo. Miami wins again, and you were the only player here to pick Miami. Well done, dude.
For several teams, this was a "do, or die weekend." Some did; others did not.
As for us through 14 of the 16 games, Cowdoc is at (11-3). At (10-4) are Johnboy, Fbaezer, Jpinmilw and Liiotamerx. Coming in at (9-5) are Region, Dragon and El-diablo. And George and Ray are at (8-6).
By my viewing of the scorecard, Cowdoc will win this week outright regardless of the outcome in the last two games.
Cowdoc mentioned that it was -20 and he was doing something with cows, but next week he would be in Washington, DC. There is a good quip there somewhere, but johnboy refrains.

Johnboy - I feel obligated to beat you to it! I have said for several years that I have found the perfect combination of careers, although it took me several decades. Now that I am both a county commissioner and a bovine veterinarian, when the fall season rolls around, whether I am pregging or politicking, my life is just one a**hole after another!

Ha. That was funny, Cowdoc.
Well, Week #14 is over and Cowdoc is proving to be the genius here. He wins for the third time this season with a record this week of (13-3). Close but no cigar at (12-4) are Johnboy, Fbaezer, Jpinmilw and Liontamerx. Region finishes at (11-5) and Dragon, El-diablo and George at (10-6). Ray limps in at (9-7), No participation this week from Panzade or Child of Light.
The experts on Espn did about the same. A couple at 13-3 and several at 12-4.
On the Cumulative Wins Minus Losses for the season, Panzade and Child suffered by not playing. Cowdoc is at (78) being stalked by Liontamers (70); still in the hunt are Panzade (63), and Region and Johnboy (62). It drops off a bit from there: Fbaezer (52), El-diablo (47), George (46), Child (44), Dragon (40) and Ray (14).
As a group, this was not one of our better weeks. Perhaps we will do better in Week #15. The schedule will appear shortly. Thanks for playing.

I am genuinely sorry, Jpinmilwaukee. I have a note to myself on the cover of my NFL folder that says to Johnboy: If you make a list, always be sure you check to make sure you have included everyone. Oops.
Jpinmilwaukee had a decent week and his total Wins Minus Losses is (38).
