He's doing more than his job. His job up to this point has been to, basically, not lose it and in this one so far, he's kept them in it.

Child,

You are quite correct. I'm just wallowing over here.
There is nothing like the mournful wail of a Giants fan during a loss...

Awooooooooo....

belly-check simply won't allow the pates to lose 2 in a row.

why did pitt burn a timeout late in the 4th when the pates were driving?

was pitt trying to save a few seconds to run an extra play assuming the pates would score?

My tummy still hurts from watching that game.
Injuries, dumb-ass penalties, and turnovers in the red zone!
Why do these guys have to be back against the wall with time running out
in order to play their best?

so panzade had a really, really fine week of picking in Week #3. He finished at 11-3, losing only, as did most of us, on the Minn-Carolina game, KC vs Denver, and New England vs Pittsburgh.
A step behind were cowdoc and Gus at 10-4. Region, the winner in weeks #1 and #2, was at 9-5.
A bunch of us were at 8-6: dragon, johnboy, ray, george, bbaptiste and el-diablo. El-diablo did make some deviant picks and darned if some of them (Cleveland, Oakland, Arizona) worked out well.
fbaezer was at 7-7, jpinmilw and child of the light were at 6-8, and then there was liontamer at, um. 5-9.

Through Week #3, calculating cumulative wins minus losses, region, panzade and gus are at +10. We dropoff percipitously to cowdoc at +4 and el-diablo at +2. Even are dragon, johnboy, george and bbaptiste child of the light is at -2, liontamerx and fbaeser are at -4, jpinmilw is at -6 and ray made a little progress but is at -10.

Please keep this week's picks coming. Johnboy's annual Family Reunion From Hell made it through the first day with no homicides. We manage to keep famility business (e.g health) separate from business business (eg real estate) but as I feared, a lot of second-guessing on the latter. 9 pm. I'm going to bed.

Big scandal...Pitt should have won. Time keeper added 90 seconds to the clock.

So much for home field advantage

Last I heard he had been fined but not suspended. I'm sure he won't be seen in the post season

Gotta love the spirit.
